Curry's career was meteorical and came down fast, don't expect he was ever rich and boxers need quality financial advisors but how about ridiculously rich Jack@ss Jake and Mike Tyson who fought in his era help him out with a tiny portion from their sht show.

We all have twists and turns in our lives , what about the man who has 3 kids and a mortgage then suddenly loses his job and has to take possibly 2 jobs unrelated to his profession to get by ? And that’s if he can a job. I can go with blows to the head and affect of that but with boxing that goes with the job.
I have an old friend who I competed in national teams with . He made an Olympic final and fell on hard times and know works as a delivery driver . Sadly this is life but and here’s the but a country like America should provide support for diagnosed brain injuries and the like .
Curry must have earnt enough to have a mortgage free house at least ? Then if no money a little job to bring in afew dollers . We alll have to work and take personal responsibility ability . The brain issue he definitely needs support with that should be dealt with within local or central government.

Yes I agree that maybe I have a soft spot for boxers because hence they get paid for me to watch them get punched in the head
Not the easiest job out there and I totally agree that govt or some kind of government Institution should be held accountable
Just like NFL players who finally got something from not knowing they were hurting until to late

It's very sad , I remember what Don did to Collin Jones when he was prime , he was top drawer , up there with there very best welterweights where he should have made good money but it's not just money he needs by the sound of it , good luck cobra.

This is so sad. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. This happens to just about every professional athlete; Especially boxers.

They live so fast; That many believe they will remain forever young and never have to worry about supporting themselves years after their careers are over.

For a boxer to have earned millions of dollars in his career and to have nothing to show for it; Is just so heartbreaking.

Hopefully, his son can find his father the type of help that he so desperately needs.

Boxers know boxing will not be there for them when it's over. And what do they do ???
Blow their money on drugs, mansions, cars, ***elry and ignorance (shady get rich quick schemes).

                  And he's been incarcerated ????

                  When will boxers learn.......
You are absolutely correct. However, please don’t leave the hoes and bitches out. They take.a huge chunk out of their fortunes as well. With divorce lawsuits and child support payments.

Didn't Donald Curry have a notoriously bad substance abuse issue? Getting punched in the head plus drugs is probably not a good combination. All that being said, he most likely earned more than I'll ever earn in my life. So I don't feel too bad for him.

And I say this as I walk 3 miles into work in 22F weather. Yeah.......kinda hard for me to feel too bad for Donald Curry. Boxing is a tough business. I'm sure he was made well aware of this coming up.

Boxers know/knew what they are/were getting themselves into....punching and getting punched.
Do they think getting punched on the head, hard and repeatedly, is a good thing for the brain ?!?!?
Don't come crying after the fact and, now that they are broke, about the dangers of boxing !!!!

They need to GTFOH with that noise.

We all have twists and turns if we aren't born into money.
We all pretty much start off at the same position....working for a living.
I agree. Larry Holmes couldn’t read or write and had a third grade education and yet he was able to retain a sizable amount of his fortune by parlaying it into land, buildings and real estate.
