Comments Thread For: Charles Conwell Jnr, while aiming for world titles, is also sharing his life lessons

Charles Conwell Jnr left home at 13 to establish a boxing career. Today, barely that many more years later, he is opening his own gym in Cleveland. His goal: to pass on all that he has learned along the way to young fighters who are now in his old boots

What a good read. Conwell and his folks seem like good genuine people. Let's see if he lives up to expectations

Humility makes the man. Didn't know much about Conwell prior to this article, but hope he has an excellent career both in boxing and helping disadvantaged young people. Arrogant limited talent 'fighters' (runners) like Stevenson and Haney should take note.

His last 3 fights under GBP haven't been any more impressive than his first 18! !54 is too loaded for him to have these lackluster fights in '24! Hope '25 is better for him!

Charles is the goods any way you slice it. You can put him in the High risk Low reward category and it will not be easy to get him a shot unless he becomes a mandatory for one of the belts.

Conway has a good style. I see just a splash of Archie Moore when I watch him. He's not as clever as Moore was, or as polished, but he's a skilled boxer-puncher, tough as nails, strong, and rugged. If he keeps training hard & making progress, he'll make his mark in the sport for sure

This could encourage more young people to participate in sports, thereby improving health and team spirit.
