Having lost his much-loved WBO cruiserweight title to Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez in Saudi Arabia, there is an emptiness in Chris Billam-Smith about what transpired, writes Tris Dixon

The writing is much more professional under ProBox than under the previous owner. The difference between the cringeworthy 8th grade level articles under the previous owner of BoxingScene and those under the current crop of writers is a welcome relief. Keep up the good work.

CBS is a really good dude. Met him a few times and he always makes time for the fans.

Any time a grown man's given morphine & says it's doing nothing, his body is in a fair bit of pain.

Its just one loss ,CBS will bounce back from this but he needs to work bit more on defense and his mid- range inside game,Other than that, Still a solid fighter and a top contender.

An interesting article, a good read. I liked the depth the author went into regarding the trip to the hospital and the pain he went through as it's easy for for the fans to just watch the fights without thought of what the fighters go through later. It sounds like a 6-month recovery is needed and then a tune up bout before taking on a serious contender. But if CBS want a decent bout in his comeback, Jack Massey would be a good start, both coming of world title losses and both needing a win a against a name opponent. CBS is lucky he faced Ramirez and not Opetaia, I doubt he would have seen out the 6 rounds out that Massey did.

I wasn't reading BoxingScene until recently so I'll take your word for it.
With one exception: Elliott Worsell needs to get his verbose, dense, and long-winded observations under control.
Editors: Do your job and tighten up Worsell's copy.

Apparently he's already been offered to fight the WBC Crusierweight champion Noel Gevor Mikaelyan but now Badou jack is coming back who was the champion in Recess hell probably get a shot at it first
