Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury fails once again to catch the rabbit who refuses to run

To lose any fight leaves a mark, both physically and psychologically, yet there is something about losing twice to the same man that stays with a fighter, wounding them on a deeper level than any other defeat.

    Too verbose.
    Let's get to the point:

Fury will likely have to soothe his bruised ego.

    There, fixed it for ya.

What happend to Fury's "I'm gonna walk him down and knock him out" attitude?
As soon as the bell rang he defaulted to box Usyk at range again.
He did not impose his size on Usyk the way I thought he would.
Chisora and AJ did a better job using their size on Usyk.
Not that it matter, Usyk always makes adjustments and he just knows how to win!

Usyk simply showed the difference between a talented, well-trained athlete and a talented former addict tending to obesity.

Fury let his fans down. He let himself down. Did not want go to all in, to go out on his shield. He was mentally broken by Usyk's will.

              Agreed.
There was another gear he never upshifted to - that of wanting it more. He clearly didn't.
It's also called "going for broke", "selling out", and "letting it all hang out", and by that I don't mean his Gypsy King-sized man-boobs and love handles.

I couldn't understand why Fury backed away when he had good moments backing Usyk up and briefly hurt him.

He had the added weight and should've gone forward after Usyk went backwards.

I think Usyk's team studied the Steve Cunningham fight before the first Fury fight. They saw his struggles against a smallish heavyweight who was a cruiserweight.

Usyk then used his advantages being the smaller guy, making himself tough to hit, moving well.

The bigger guy doesn't have all the advantages, as you saw.

Exactly! Weird to me he was willing to go through Wilders power to win but wouldn't for Usyk who I don't think is half as big a puncher as Deontay

                    What happened?
Usyk's speed, footwork, IQ, and stinging punches happened.
Usyk exposed Fury as faded, slower, not 100% committed, and less skilled.
And so it will be forever recorded in boxing history.
