I’m tempted to say Roy Jones. I think Floyd was more gifted/talented but I don’t think he chased/achieved greatness the same way Usyk did. He certainly valued money over legacy and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Pac also chased greatness relentlessly and achieved miraculous feats throughout multiple weight classes but there were several mishaps along the way, Usyk has always found a way to win, there was never a Morales 1 or Marquez 4 moment.

The only thing that could possibly count against Usyk is he hasn’t had anywhere near as many pro fights, but there is significant quality within those 23 wins. 10 of which came on the road against a fighter in there home country. That’s f***ing incredible. Two undisputed championships. Reached the absolute pinnacle as an amateur too. I truly think Usyk is right up there all time.

Don't put Floyd's name with usyks. Floyd was just a name collector. Didn't achieve anything people didn't think he could do, never out of comfort zone. Never fought toughest available consistently, or tried to make things easier with catch weights.

I still think Naoya Inoue and Terence Crawford are right there in the mix with him.

If Crawford somehow beats Canelo (I don't think he will), that might be a wrap. That'd make him a 4 division lineal champ (only Floyd and Manny have done it) and a 5 division world titlist (only Hearns, Leonard, De La Hoya, Floyd, and Manny have done it).

And Inoue is in his prime right now. Already a comparable resume and he figures to have many more fights ahead of him than Usyk or Crawford.

Moving through lower weight classes doesn't compare, for me, to moving from Cruiserweight to Heavyweight, and especially not with the size of some of the guys he's fought.

It's incredible and I can't see how his resume really gets improved.

If Parker beats Dubois that's a good name to add. Parker would be a 2X heavyweight titlist who had a late career resurgence in that case.

If Opetaia finishes his business at cruiserweight without a loss and moves up, there's some intrigue there.

A second win over Dubois couldn't hurt either, and may age even better depending on what Dubois does with the rest of his career.

The other "champs" of this era (Wilder, Ruiz, Martin [lol]) are too used up to be of value.

When and where Usyk beat his opposition carry a lot of weight. If you look at every HOF’er Floyd beat, it was in Vegas, with him dictating as the A-side apart from maybe Oscar. Usyk being so willing to leave his comfort zone gives him the edge IMO.

Crawford beating Canelo at 168 would potentially be one of greatest wins ever. Also don’t see it happening FTR.

Love Inoue but not sure he has the contemporaries to get to that sort of level but who knows. Shame there isn’t a dominant featherweight champion for him to try and conquer.
