He’s the heavy favorite to win though….

Bet. Ronnie knows something we don’t, and knowing Ronnie’s ethic and experience, no way would he give Morrell his blessing if he thought that kid wasn’t ready.

I’m not picking a winner until (and if) this fight lands in the PICK EM’ thread, but I have a feeling that Morrell is going to light Benny up.

Someone please correct me if I am mistaken, but hasn’t Benavidez Sr been awfully quiet during all this? Usually he’s doing more talking than his son, but he has an air of uncertainty about him at these press conferences with Morrell. Go watch: he’s often reserved, in the background, and his eyes clearly say, for the first time, that the fighter across from his son is not a foregone KO.

Not saying that means diddly squat, but the dude is looking visibly uncomfortable lately.

Benavidez sr is dealing with the Rayo controversy lawsuit and is trying to keep that mess out of training camp. You know how the media works

Ah, makes sense. I didn't know much about that, but you gotta wonder if that's going to affect Benny's training camp.

Just saying people look impressive until they fight someone worthy, just Like GGG look like monster until he fought Jacobs. Morrell might look great, but really hasn't face anyone. Ennis looked great until he fought Karen. Saying once you step up, your mystic is exposed.

I saw his last fight, was not impressed. Everyone looks impressive fighting tomato cans.

So Benavidez sparred GGG, Bivol, and Zurdo Ramirez and I'm going to be impressed by Morrell?

Everyone knows is a difficult fight, that's why is so interesting unlike Tank vs Roach.

You’re impressed by the people he sparred? Are you smoking crack? And morrel is better than the 3 fighters you listed. I watched him as an amatuer. The kid is special special. The whole world is about to find out. Take ur little sparring myths and put em in your pipe and get smoked like benevidez is about to
