I can see how continually screening and censoring abusive posters can get frustrating. However, with today's technology, AI can do the initial screening and humans can do the final editing. To throw one's hands up and eliminate forums altogether is a cop-out and a disservice. I wonder what Fischer's explanation was.

as far as I know there was no explanation - just from one day to next it was gone

              Great point.

I mentioned this a while back when they started banning posters with a long post history from the Lounge.

Unfortunately this site is going downhill fast.

I only come on here on occasion for the Pick 'em.

Even the daily boxing news is watered down and bias.

So, what you're telling me is, Fischer is a great guy with excellent communication skills.

I always liked him as a writer, I enjoyed his Dougie's Mailbags. Maybe Oscar made an executive decision?

Of course! I hadn't considered that the decision to kill the forum likely came from the top. The poor editor probably had nothing to do with it.
