Looking forward to the day AI replaces judges

Rounds will no longer be influenced by what the judges like

the only scoring point that matters is clean punching

the clean puncher is the more effective aggressor, smarter ring general, and better defender

First you have to agree on what to base the scoring on, it seems to vary depending on commentator. Is it punches landed, ring generalship, aggression, etc.
And how are the judges supposed to measure these things together when coming up with a score.
As far as punch count, sensors in the gloves might be worth a try.

I trust any computer that's programmed by set rule book that's objective more so than any human. Humans can't stop basing decisions or outcomes on opinion, emotions or bribery. Not only we should use AI on punch stats we should also have a forth judge and that judge should be AI and only be used if there's SD/MD or Draw to determine the outcome. There's too many robberies or favoritism in boxing. Favoritism can be base on the boxers style, nationality or even popularity. That has to stop.

I could see starting out with 1 AI judge and 3 regular judges, to see how they compare. There always seems to be one paid off judge in every fight. Throw that score away and go with the AI judge lol

I disagree with Bob , you can see a fight better on television than you can in person. I've noticed it in fights that I saw in person , even from pretty close up ,and later saw on film. Compubox is a nice tool but it only tells part of the story. I'd still rather have it than not.

You're right , there's always that one judge. I wonder if commissions have two lists , one of normal judges and one of fvk ups. Then they choose two from the normal list and one from the fvk up sheet.

I think that three judges at ringside is for now the best way to do it , it's VERY IMPORTANT though to weed out the incompetent and the corrupt judges , as well as those corrupting them. Until there are consequences for bad scorecards we are going to continue to get them. Judging a fight isn't rocket science. The criteria for scoring a fight are neither mysterious or complicated.

Wake up. Before anybody changes the judges they need to completely overhaul the scoring system because it’s pure f***ing nonsense. Four competing scoring criteria and an arbitrary and nonsensical 10 point must system both need to go.

I don't think it's even debatable that AI beats compubox. Biased humans hitting buttons is massively out of date and constantly inaccurate.

I'm not so sure about giving the stats to judges though.
