I thought Nick was below par on Saturday, got hit way too much and was loading up way too much instead of picking his shots.

He can’t afford to make those same mistakes against better opposition. Especially Inoue.

Rest when you're dead. Boxing careers are short , get that bread while you can.

            I watched highlights.

Seems like a solid champion. He’d be competitive against everyone, but it seems like he would likely come up short against the elite level guys.

Not really - I would prefer to see Inoue fight Nakatani first, then Bam if Bam wants glory, then M.J Akhmadaliev. Inoue is too good for Ball right now but Inoue is on a gradual decline I believe - he has peaked already and Ball should still improve so the longer the wait the better chance Ball (or any other FW) has to beat Inoue

Is he going to grow while he's resting? He's not tired, he's short. He gives up too much reach and eats leather for it.

"He’s faced three world-class fighters in the space of seven months. How many people do that?"

Depends on what you define as world-class, but not crazy rare in the lower weights where three times a year is more common unlike the 135 and aboves. Sure he's done three in seven monthes but assuming he rests for the next 5 month atleast that is a relatively normal 3 fights per year schedule.

Granted doesn't change the fact that it is great for him to stay active unlike a certain other 126 two years winless "champion" you-know-who.
