You're full of it. As just one example: When I wrote for The Ring, I was literally chasing down Golden Boy executives to hold them accountable, on camera, for trash matchmaking. And I continued to contribute to The Ring for another eight years after that. I was also repeatedly highly critical of Canelo Alvarez within the very pages of The Ring while Canelo was Golden Boy's sole cash cow.

Drag Roach with only 10 KOs in 27 fights up from 130 instead of fighting other leading contenders at 135, makes sense. Typical for Tank's career path thus far. Also, why is Keyshawn Davis not ranked at all by WBA while being ranked #3 by the other three sanctioning bodies?

Is he talking about retirement already ?

I want to see tank Shakur RIGHT FKN NOW!!
We all want to see him fight Shakur but it is a fact the boxing world was geared up for the Davis vs Lomachenko fight as seen by the many articles and posts here. It was at the top of boxing fans list as it would STILL have been two of the top 5 Lightweights fighting for unification. Enough already.

You have pathetic expectations. Any real boxing fan knows that fight is crap.
                casuals love the fight though.
Id be happy if tank just fought for another belt but he’s even scared to do that.
He wont even fight Denys. Who hits softer than pillow hands Shakur. I think hes allergic to pillows.

Thanks for your comment, PD! I've called out Tank's level of opposition repeatedly over the years. But I recognize that you joined this site in 2021 — welcome! — and that I had significantly scaled back the number of side gigs I had, including boxing writing, between 2017 and earlier this year, so you might not have seen it or been aware of my work in general. Given the timing for Tank's lightweight fights, most of those pieces of mine appeared in other publications.

I'm not thrilled about Tank vs. Roach. And I totally understand why this is yet another disappointment for those, like you, who've been waiting for a while for Tank to face the fellow top lightweights. I'm just not as riled up as others, given the way all these different moving pieces have been coming together, and apart, during the past several months. Here's hoping the 135-pound division does better as a whole in 2025.

Yo!! This **** better not be true. Tank is my guy but this some bull****. Tank has his pick of the litter and he fighting Roach jr??? **** makes no sense. I’d rather see him unify with Berinchyk or move up and fight Rayo Valenzuela. Or De los santos. And maybe they got fights or boxing politics but i dont give a damn. Im not supporting Tank/Roach jr fight. No sir!! Tank is immensely talented in the ring but NO. F that!! Yall stop supporting the bull****!!! Tank/roach jr NO! Canelo/anybody other than benavidez NO! Stream that **** and dont pay for it. At any weight class, if the champ aint fighting to unify belts or fighting another killer in the division, fuggem!! Hold your dollars!! And i dont give a damn whether ya mexican, black, white, from the Uk or otherwise. Boxing gonna keep doing this **** unless we start holding them accountable. AKA HOLD YOUR $$$.

I love watching Tank fight but I'm beginning to think we're overrating him.
