I was surprised, but I was intrigued in Dubois’ chances. I still thought AJ would win, that would’ve been my prediction.

Sparring is sparring but it looks like their sparring session came true in the real fight.

I've no idea how Joshua and his camp were the only people in the world who didn't realise it was going to be a fire fight.

It's a shame Joshua didn't really participate but fair play to Dubois. He was on a mission in there. He was menacing.
        .

He was like a hungry lion after a gazelle. Almost like he knew something. Seems that sparring story of him knocking out AJ was actually true, hence his confidence. He took him apart.

AJ has been extremely gun shy since he got stopped by Ruiz. He’s never been the same since.

Favourable styles have sometimes given the illusion that he is. But in my mind he’s clearly not. And I didn’t rate him all that highly in the first place.

He gave up the centre of the ring instantly. Totally out of range when trying to counter which is often the case when you’re gun shy like he is.
Joshua was not gun shy in this match, the problem was his guns were not landing or were easily being countered. AJ attempted to unload several times only to be met by a stiff jab and returning power punches.

Watching it again (and again and again)...

Some big mistakes by Joshua in that fight. Timid to start, then lazy with his hands down and not staying 'on', then finally landed some decent shots in round 4 and that big one in 5 that finally stopped Dubois coming forward... and immediately got reckless. He had a chance to get back into a fight he'd been nowhere near and l instead got himself ****** out. The same mistake that cost him against Ruiz.

Nowhere near good enough from Joshua.

The only mistake that Dubois made was the low blow. A smarter fighter than AJ would have requested the time to recover. The low blow was a silly gift from Dubois that he didn't take.

I don’t see where the surprise is coming from. They should’ve known Dubois’s style would be a nightmare for AJ, but the game plan—or lack thereof— didn’t reflect that.

He was going to be too busy and relentless for AJ and I couldn’t see AJ getting as much breathing room with the rough-housing tactics.

He clearly didn’t seem ‘there’ tonight. He constantly missed big shots and rarely set them up. All of the backing up with his hands down and not using his jab cost him the fight.

He finally landed that dumb pull-counter right hand that he’s repeatedly missed along with two more right hands, then his lights were put out after that 10-seconds exchange.

                Great fight!

Dubois kind of used his jab as the first line of defence. It immediately put AJ on the back foot and hesistant. It was a smart move.

Had they had a cagey fencing match, I think that's when Dubois defence would get exposed but he didn't let it happen and pushed AJ back instead.

The one thing AJ didn't need was for Dubois to start landing his jab easily, and that's exactly what happened.

It's shocking whenever the favorite loses
Especially in this manner and the high profile of the loser.

AJ was able to easily outbox bloated whale Andy

Not me. AJ just never looks comfortable vs good opp imo.
