If Canelo beats Benavidez you will just say him "pick him" when he was too young inexperienced. Honestly I rather see Benavidez vs Morrell. Two big, young guys. If Benavidez beats Canelo, he beat an old past his prime Canelo.

Did you just make an excuse for Canelo when he gets beat by Benavidez?

Canelo will not fight the monster. He is afraid. Period.

I want him to fight the #1 guy at 168. It wasn’t Berlanga nor Munguia nor Charlo nor Mayorga.

How can you justify the fight with Charlo? Seriously

This performance will be graded on Berlanga's career from here on out. Personally, I believe that any of the top guys beat him and probably knock him out. Time will tell.

If you have any knowledge of boxing (which most canelo fans don’t) you saw in this fight exactly why canelo won’t fight Benavidez. He’d not only lose but would get beat the fk up.

No doubt about that and Canelo knows it too.

If there was one guy there all night for Canelo to KO, it was fricking Berlanga. And instead Canelo ate a bunch of hard jabs, looked more beat up than Berlanga did and he was so gassed that he actually thought that the 10 second warning was the bell and walked to his corner. If anyone needs more proof of Berlanga sucking, he had a free sucker punch and didnt even land that.

Canelo isn't beating any top fighters again. Benavidez would KO Berlanga and he would beat the h e l l out of Saul.
Perfect assessment of the fight and where Canelo is at this point. If I am Amazon, I’m demanding Canelo fight a major threat next time out

Canelo dictates, not Amazon. They could care less about the opponent as long as the PPV numbers are decent. Canelo’s laughing all the way to the bank. A couple more hand picked fights and it’s off to his ranch to ride one of his many stallions. At this stage of Saul’s career, he could give a flyin “F” what people think about him or his choice of fights.

                  Probably in the contract...

Canelo hit Berlanga with his best shots; Left hooks, uppercuts, right hands and body shots yet still couldn't put a dent in him. The question is did Canelo ever really have power? His knockdowns/KO's are more to do with being either accurate or timed shots - his power is definitely overrated. Canelo beat on Chavez Jr for the entire 12 rounds yet couldn't drop/stop him. He beat on Callum Smith for 12 rounds but again couldn't drop or stop him. He couldn't drop Danny Jacobs who'd been dropped by Pirog, GGG and even Sergio Mora. It seems he can only hurt guys who are either smaller than him or those that have defensive weaknesses.

Benavidez would walk through Canelo (like Berlanga was doing in spots) and batter him.
