Smith sure is pouring a lot of energy into coming up with excuses. He should save some for the actual fight.

Smith is damn crybaby. Stfu it’s business and competition. You’re a fighter and other fighters want to beat you.
another note I’ve always thought Kelly was the goods. Honestly it’s about damn time he’s here. He’s looked like a million bucks at times . I’m from the US and I’m looking forward to this fight

IDK what folks see in Josh Kelly, Maybe I'm missing something. I definitely see Liam being levels above Kelly & winning by a stoppage around 8 or 9.

Whatever lays ahead for Liam Smith, I think it would be best for him to stay competing at 160 pounds 'It has been far too long now, since he has fought at 154 pounds'.

Smith has already been a World Champion, so now at this stage of his career 'Really he is wanting to some get back vs Eubank Junior III, and to fight in the biggest fights possible'.

I have stated that, I would not be surprised if Josh Kelly would beat Liam Smith 'Stylistically it is a very winnable fight for both fighters, but Smith's condition is not really clear'.

Why all of the sudden, is Liam Smith close to 190 pounds weeks out from a fight 'Even if he was injured in the lead up to his rematch with Chris Eubank Junior. At the announcement of Kelly vs Smith, Liam Smith was clearly miles over the 160 pound weight limit again'.

Maybe this is some sort of tactic, because he is now fighting in a higher weight class 'Or like in Rocky 3, has Liam Smith lost that Eye of the Tiger? Fighters who are serious about the game should be training all year round. But of course a in fight training camp, the intensity and frequency would differ to training in between competitive fights'.

Note: Sometimes certain fights, are predominantly won in training camps 'I have noticed this, especially in the lower weight classes. The actual action on fight night, is just a bi-product of all the input and effort that was hammered into their training camps. And it seems to be way more difficult for lower weight class fighters to negate, and overcome a under-par training camp on fight night'.

In the Heavyweight Divisons, certain fighters can still negate and overcome a under-par training camp on fight night 'Historically we have seen fighters such as Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and most recently Tyson Fury do this. Those fighters have clearly at times in their career, not really left no stone upturned in a training camp? But they have still found a way to win.

Mike Tyson's work ethic was underrated throughout his entire career, but during his comeback 'On a fight by fight basis, his intensity would ether decrease or increase, Mike Tyson was not training with the consistent that he had in the first stage of his career. Still Mike Tyson was able to produce some in my opinion solid performance, and stay a threat in the Heavyweight Division'.

To conclude: Now the question in regards to Liam Smith, is Smith the level and calibre of fighter 'Where he can stay in boxing, and train without the Eye of the Tiger and still win?'. This is Josh Kelly's biggest ever fight he has ever been involved in, both in terms of the stage and challenge. Josh Kelly has clearly got the Eye of the Tiger'.

When this fight was announced, during the press conference Josh Kelly 'Looked to be not far off fight condition. That is the Eye of the Tiger'.

Liam Smith in comparison, was exuding a very competitive attitude 'I could not detect the Eye of the Tiger. And in a stylistically contrasting fight like this, where both fighters actually have a style which pose each other challenges. It is inside the training of the fighters, where the fight will be won or lost'.

Liam Smith is the favourite and should win this fight, if he is a in solid form and game. But he is up against a fighter with the Eye of the Tiger, and a boxing trainer who is by far more superior and proven than Liam Smith's trainer, Joe McNally'.

Adam Booth integrates his knowledge and psyche into his fighters. Josh Kelly is nowhere the level of talent and ability of David Haye 'But he is a fighter, who Adam Booth has had under his tutorship for sometime now. And as a fighter and trainer, they do both work well together and sync'.

I don't think Adam Booth would of advised Josh Kelly to take this fight 'If he coud not envision a way to win'. Kelly is a 154 pound fighter, who was offered this opportunity.

Josh Kelly appeared to come out the blocks, and hit the ground moving with force for his training camp vs Smith. Were as Liam Smith was clearly nowhere near fight condition at the fight announcement. And I believe this is due to Josh Kelly having the Eye of the Tiger, and Liam Smith maybe not having the Eye of the Tiger'.

The Eye of the Tiger is a instinctual choice and state of being, fighters can bring it back 'The question is: Has Liam Smith brought it back of for this fight?'.

This fight will be won and lost predominately in training camp, the coaches of each fighter may give us great insights into those camps come closer to fight night etc.
