    This is from Sportingnews.com:

"Tickets start at $243 via .
    Prices then range from $300, $400, $500, $600, $700, $800, $900, $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, $6,000, and $9,250."

The bottom line is ticket prices. Why would any casual fan even pay for the lowest-priced ticket? Did Turkey think he could fill the stadium with casual fans? Are there enough hard-core fans who would want to pay those prices to fill all the seats? I seriously doubt it.

This is why I don't go to MLB games anymore. It's just not worth it.

Crawford is inarguably one of the 3 best p4p boxers in the sport. Him headlining a card that doesn’t sell isn’t good for the sport.

Inoue only fights in Japan. The Hwt titles aren’t being defended in the US. Bivol is an unknown. Canelo only fights low level bums now.

These are the 5 best men in the sport.

Like Turkish or not, the sport is not in the best place and if he can fix things, more power to him.[/QUOTE]

DClefthook.....You and a few others simply brand hustle the PBC like a fu<king Kraft cheese and hotdog commercial, it's only healthy if it's Al Hamon's. News flash, some of the stuff that Kraft sells is clearly unhealthy shyt for profit. If you would just mixed in a tinny bit boxing before promoter/manager, you wouldn't be so fu<king transparent. Namsayn?

If I had to pin the lack of interest on something, it would have to be that on paper, the fights on the main event pretty much looked like sure wins for Crawford and Cruz.

No amount of money is going to fix boxing. It's not clear to me why so many people think this is the case. Boxing is not the NBA or even the NLL (National Lacrosse League). It's no kind of league, and it never will be. It's just fighters and businessmen making money. Turki Alalshikh and the Saudi royal family can inject millions over millions of dollars into boxing cards and its not improve a thing for the sport, except for the fighters and promotional com panies involved with those specific cards. Turki Alalshikh, with all the money in the Saudi Kingdom, isn't going to organize boxing any more than it because boxing cannot be organized.

No wonder Turki was desperate to get Canelo to sign on to a fight on the spot. He wanted the idea of doing business with Canelo out there to promote his other events. Probably lost more than the $10 million he reportedly lost.
This is starting to make some sense. Can't say I'm completely on board with the theory, but there might be something to it.

The rumor of the 10 million loss came from Kevin Iole and he walked it back, he said it was taken out of context. But even if it was true, why are you concerned, who cares? Turki Alashikh's has cars worth 10 million and a fund in excess of 15 billion and he's making great fights.

Just so you know, there are rumors that Canelo/Berlanga is one cherry pick too many, and it isn't selling jack shyt. You can help Canelo out by getting out the the credit card and **** out $90.00 to support that turd.

not the fault of the promoter but rather shows first of all boxing is unpopular and declining. And then secondly it shows the ticket prices are too high. There were still thousands of fans there but if you can't completely sell out you need to lower ticket prices and that amplifies the fact that boxers are way overpaid.

Probably zero, I doubt anyone would pay those high prices just to see him perform a few songs. I'm not saying that folks wouldn't pay those high prices to see a full concert but not just a few songs. Besides, the crowd was dead while he was up on stage performing and asking the people to make some noise. You could also see the frustration on his face from the lack of response he was getting.
