Comments Thread For: Chris Algieri's School of Thought: Vergil Ortiz Jr. is ready for Tim Tszyu after coming of age

When Vergil Ortiz Jr. topped Serhii Bohachuk on Saturday, the right fighter got the decision that he deserved at the end of a hotly contested fight. What is Ortiz's best next move?

Good read and great insight. I think should have a mailbag; titled Uncaged!! Yeah I still remember Chris. That Provo win was solid

I think Virgil is ready for Tim too. Not that I'm sure Virgil won the fight against Bochunk, but he never quit. Bo is about as good as Tim without the promotion. A proper road warrior.

Ortiz might be ready, but Tim Tszyu stops him.

Ortiz will be fighting a rematch with Bohachuk before fighting Tszyu or Crawford.

I think the damage that Ortiz took from Bohachuck is a sign of things to come @ 154.

Yup. Ortiz is too reliant on his left hook . Tszyu better balanced and big and strong for the weight. Tszyu will chop him down long before those body shots will begin to tell. Tszyu will be quite happy to have a shoot out and can see it going that way. Good at cutting off the ring.

Betting on Tsyzu all day long in that finger. Ortiz has that jarred Hurd chin but eventually that shhh fully cracks.
