Comments Thread For: PBC spokesman on Saudi entry into boxing, PBC's fighters appearing on Riyadh Season shows

This guy's a moron. 10 years and now Mr. Communications VP is coming forward? Did you guys downsize, are desperate, or both?

“Contrary to popular belief, we’ve never been against letting our guys go out and make money when there’s an opportunity for them to make money”

"BUT we'll remind them of their contractual obligation to us and sabotage the negotiations to the point where the fighters are better off keeping it in-house."

“Here somebody is talking about forming a league and [there is] not nearly the kind of negative reaction that the PBC got when they were talking about forming a league.”

Correctamundo, Tim. A league that involves not only PBC fighters. Do you smell what I'm stepping in here?

..doesn’t necessarily mean a Gervonta Davis or David Benavidez will perform on a Riyadh Season card, Smith said..
“Those guys are pay-per-view stars. They’re pay-per-view attractions. Anything is possible."

Ahhhh, so THIS is the behind-the-scenes guy fueling the Benavidez entitlement train

“I’ve seen this before. When Terence Crawford, the first time the Errol Spence fight fell through.."

What a nice way to characterize Al going life-and-death to kill it. Too bad Bud outsmarted all of you haha

Start looking for a new job, Tim. You suck at this one

      Two things:

      1. Everybody reacted negatively to the rumors of PBC forming a league because they were NOT working with the other promoters to do so. Riyadh Season on the other hand is involving Top Rank, Golden Boy, Matchroom, Queensberry…

      2. PBC would only benefit from more interaction with Riyadh Season. As Tim Smith admits, they didn’t have anything going on for August. Or for a lot of other dates either. And their fighters need fights.

"I don't know what the future holds. I'm not the person negotiating fights. It's not my job"

Absolutely brilliant statement from the "vice president of communications"

One thing I appreciate with this new owner of BScene is the articles are longer. The previous one barely scratch surfaces. They're way too short. They have one or two quotes from the person they're interviewing. Keep it up brothers.
