Bud is a finished product. He has 2-4 fights left give or take. He always wanted to have the same career trajectory as Andre Ward and Timothy Bradley in terms of how they carried and marketed themselves. He said it himself, he didn’t want to take on the Mayweather/Broner role of doing clownery **** to draw attention to himself and you have to respect him for being true to himself and standing 10 toes down regardless of what the naysayers have said. Every top rank and matchroom fighter fights a minimum of twice a year.

I can’t understand how AJ could be so foolish to pay him a Kings ransom as his “so called” promoter when all Eddie does is take Turkie’s calls. Even DAZN which has lost hundreds of millions on their Matchroom experiment are thrilled that Turkie is footing all the bills.

Crawford is not promotable. He is who he is. He has no interest whatsoever in speaking to promote a fight. But, to stay on Turlie’s payroll, Eddie’s job is to get under fighters skin in order to make controversy.

You can't jump in the ring every 12 months or so and expect to resonate with the boxing public especially if your personality isn't engaging outside of it. You also can't fight Avanesyan and now Madrimov after a great Spence win and be expecting coronation or adulation for that level of competition. He had a chance to make a push for popularity but he decided to reup with TR and collect the big guarantees. Say what u want about Shakur, I like the fact he's taking his career into his hands early by breaking free now despite all the flack with his style while Crawford waited till his mid 30s before he left what supposedly wasn't working for him.
