Pacquiao isn't the most skilled..at the end of the day he's a brawler..like it or not..he's got great speed and great footwork..style wise..I'm convinced that Mayweather has a very easy night against Pacquiao..
and if you wanna say that southpaw Judah gave Mayweather hell...sure he did..but Judah's hand speed is faster than Pacquiao's ..and he has about 5 inches in difference in their reach..

The only WW Floyd has fought is Baldomir, we don't know how he will do against a WW in his prime. He does have the skills but he did not run over Castillo in both of the fights(which I think that he lost the 1st fight no matter what excuses that I hear). The only way to find out is he will ever challenge a worthy WW(my money is that he is gonna fight Bradley or Khan next).
We don't know how will he do against Cotto, but even if Pac loses Floyd will go after that fight

you can say that about cotto which is fair enough!
consider this... manny pacquaio is also fighting with everything on the line, he Fights for GOD,himself, family, friends, country, honour, acting and singing career, fans, money, POLITICAL AMBITIONS, BOXING IMMORTALITY,and A CHANCE TO BE CALLED THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME BASING ON 7 TITTLES IN DIFFERENT WEIGHT CATEGORIES.
with that much on the line.... which is so damn good....... just thinking about it, manny i reckon will be more motivated come fight night!
come nov. 14, he will lay everything on the line..... 100% manny will give his life for this distinction.
can't wait....

but that's where the popular saying comes "You can't teach old dogs, new tricks"..Cotto fights the way he fights..he can make minor tweaks as far as strategies..but nothing major enough to make that big of a difference in his style..
and don't get it twisted..I'd be rooting for Cotto til the end if that fight were to happen..I'd just be realistic just like I was against the Clottey fight and I've now become with him against Pacquiao..I could see him losing for several reasons..but that's what makes his fights so exciting for me..because (usually) he seems to not have the qualities to win..but than he surprises the **** outta me with his abilities and his intelligence..
So..I'd be 50/50 on the Mayweather-Cotto fight..but I don't think neither fighter has been in the ring with anybody to compare the 2..
Closest thing Cotto has gotten to a Mayweather-type fighter is Malignaggi..Speed, Pure Boxer, Counter Puncher, but NO POWER!
Closest thing Mayweather has gotten to a Cotto-type fighter is Hatton..Pressure, footwork, decent power (Cotto more powerful), body puncher.. but Hatton was the smaller man..and has 0 defense!..
These tweaks wouldn't be minor. For example,
Cotto has a been habit of turning south paw when going backwards. He can easily fix that.
Clinch, I wouldn't call this a simple tweak here is why; he lost to Margarito because of this, "Clinching". Remember everytime he got a 4-5 punch combination against Margarito, he was suppose to clinch after that.
He can still tuck in his chin without having his head exposed for an uppercut. He can easily fix that. Then his stamina and straight right hand...
2nd thought, this isn't minor

I think it's wearthless to discuss a fight between Cotto and Floyd. Most of us that have a brain know that Floyd does not have the balls to get in the ring with a legit WW (Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, etc) that could take away his most valued posession, his 0.
