I'm playing devil's advocate, of course, but this is a question to me. Because martial artists can break bricks with their hands. A brick isn't all that much more damaging than a bare fist. Mostly whats bad about the brick is its sharp angles, and weight. And considering, how padding was wrapped around the brick/plaster... It shouldn't have made a HUGE difference from that of a fist.. Unless he took out some of the padding?

If you add something hard and heavy to your hand it's going to do damage.

The reason I don't think Shane Mosley should be at the top is simply because Cotto beat him. I think you need to look at the head 2 head matchup rather then an opponent they both faced, which is what happened.

Cotto has the better resume. But, at the end the #1 guy is the man who beat the man. Yes when Cotto fought Mosley. It was for the #2 spot. Cotto won. And, when Floyd retired Cotto moved to the #1 spot, Margarito beat Cotto to take over the #1 spot. And, mosley beat Margrito to take over the #1 spot.

See by your logic Margarito should be #1 cuz he beat Cotto. Margarito holds one over in a head to head match up

U can make a case for either Cotto,or Mosley!!I think Mosley is the top because of his resume!!I'm not just talking about recently either!!Mosley beat a prime WW champ Oscar & has fought Forrest there twice,plus his recent return to 147!!But head to head Cotto outhustled him,which I think is a testiment to Cotto & I have him on the doorstep of being #1 right now!!Margarito is the equation that I use for dividing the 2,so I have Mosley slightly ahead,but I feel Cotto will be # 1 soon enough!!Having floyd over Cotto is the most disrespectfull move I've seen lately!!Cotto earned his ranking of either at least 1 or 2!!

I think as a ww cottos resume shows more of a statement when discussing the top welterweights. But floyd resume is not that bad, i mean corrales , castillo , "hatton" , and a couple more , but he doesnt want to fight top ww, its been almost a month from his one sided fight where he took no damage, in fact it was a fight to shake off the rust pretty much , and nobody hasnt heard **** from mayweather , and we prob are not going to hear **** from him either , if cotto and pac have a close fight, Mayweather is going to hide , if someone gets destroyed in Cotto-Pac , most likely he will "try" to make a fight with the loser , but demand a ridiculous side of the pot and prob wont happen , thats why hes hated , he doesnt bring excitement to the sport , he brings drama and controversy along with his polished one of a kind boxing skills which he is scared to test against any top ww. And it is sad cuz i think he actually will outbox just about anybody , cuz lets face it , if he ever gets in the ring with either , mosley , cotto , pac , berto , clottey he is going to do one thing and one thing only , box his ass off. Which we know he can do. And will prob end up with him outboxing them. Not because his oponents are not good , but because his boxing skills are that good , and its a shame , cuz HE IS THE BIGGEST ***** IN THE HISTORY OF THIS SPORT.

Cotto is easily going to dispose of pacman, which will hopefully set him up against Floyd. His only loss is to a cheater.. How can anyone argue this. He beat Mosley, and I think most people would argue he has beat better people then Floyd.
