Comments Thread For: 'He wants all the smoke': Sky is the limit for Bam Rodriguez

What became obvious Saturday night is that boxing has developed a new marquee fighter in Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez, the repeat junior bantamweight champion who smiled through a knockdown and then made his veteran-champion foe suffer with a devastating finishing body blow.

I seen Bam flew out to Tokyo today, assume he’s gonna face off with the Ioka-Martinez winner post fight.

He'll probably be hoping that Ioka wins the fight because Ioka did beat his brother in his brother's last fight before retiring so he probably wants to get the win back and Ioka will go down as an all time great lower weight fighter 4 weight division champion etc so to knock off two great fighters like Estrada and Ioka in the same year and collect 3 belts is a hell of a 2024. But Fernando Martinez is a good fighter so if he wins and looks good in doing so then him and bam is a good Unification fight because he'll be the one coming off a win against a veteran multi weight champion aswell.

Bam at 24 has already been moved fairly fast, he has signature wins and he only has 20 fights, he's accomplished more than most in this day and age or any age for that matter.

No need to push a Inoue fight, he can chill a bit at this weight class, Unify and even perhaps become undisputed. If Inoue is available then, by all means make it happen. That will give Bam sometime to grow a bit, usually men don't get their full physical peak until 25, 26. Wouldn't mind watching that fight though.

He took the steal away from the judges, by the ko, but he is continuously taking chances by giving in to short notices and other things that favor opponents, by now he should for once be given the A side and not have to go to Japan, but allowed pick his own turf. He started at 108 not too long ago and now they’re talking like if he should face a guy that’s on his way to featherweight in Inoue.

I still can’t believe the fughin judges were going to do him dirty
Glad he got the ko but I’d rather have those judges questioned right next to a guillotine

Bam vs all the Japs. They have a vsst amount of talent in the lower weight Classes. Ioka then Junto.

I’ve been complaining about Bam being rated too low so I’m super satisfied with the accession up the rankings . P4p #5!!!!!! All is right and thank you.

Judges should be mandated to be at the final pressers

I don’t even want that just them having to justify a ridiculous scorecard is good for me
