Cotto Brings More Than Mayweather, Says Roach

Why the press waste their time with this insect guy like roach. Every day he comes with something to say, every day change his strategy, one day say Cotto is dangerous and then Pacquiao will KO Cotto. This guy never shut up. What Roach needs to do is train Pacquiao very hard, being in shape for Nov 14, and shut the hell up. I am tired of his ****** comments.

It seems that lately, the strategy of Roach and Arum is to try to negotiate the fight with Mayweather now instead of focusing on what is in front of them. They are doing everything they can to try to force Mayweather's price down, but honestly, the only way that they can avoid a fight with Mayweather, is if Cotto destroys Pacquiao. If Cotto wins by decision, or a late KO(past 7 rounds), there will be enough cause to say that Pac can hang with bigger guys and in the boxing public's eyes, make a Mayweather fight mandatory to avoid ducking accusations. Of course if Manny wins, then that is the fight that everyone will be calling to see and regardless of the down playing that Arum and Roach do, they are going to have to make that fight. If they put him in the ring with Mosley instead, it'll make less money and give just as big of a threat of Pacquiao losing...if you're going into a losing battle, why not make twice the money?

I think both Cotto and Mr boat buyer KO Pac. Cotto got a better chance to do it cuz he got more power and is more aggressive. But Cotto tires under pressure. I give Pac a better chance beatin Cotto than Mr boat buyer. Roach must mean Cotto will take it to Pac more, and about that he's right. That kinda fight is more to Pac's likin, even if it is against a bigger guy wit power.

Cotto doesn't tire against pressure. He got tired when a plaster brick hit his nose in the 7th round against Margarito.

How about Judah? Cotto got stronger as the fight went on, despite taking early punishment for his quicker opponent.

Against Mosley, Cotto clearly dominated the 11th round, and niether guy touched each other in the 12th. Stop listening to the soundbytes and watch the fight. He didn't get tired, and Mosley didn't win the back end of that fight.

IMO it depneds on how u mean it. If he means skill wise he's on crack, but if he's jus sayin aggression wise, then yes he has a point. But May and Cotto beat Pac so l cant wait to see how Arum spins the fight to the rematch......i bet he throws Roach under the bus i bet

I may not be that convinced of Cotto's skill but he is as strong as
an OX. The way to beat Cotto is either with constant pressure or
defensive counter punching as we witnessed with Margarito/Clottey
and both them guys were way bigger than Pac and it took Margarito
10 rounds to put Cotto out and Clottey couldn't seal the deal and
Cotto had a big cut over his eye. I think the Pac hype is like
Hulkamania right now running wild. Pac is indeed a good fighter
but so is Cotto and he should have enough to beat lil Pac if he
is game on November 14. Pac ain't big or strong enough to
pressure Cotto and he's not defensive enough to block and counter
Cotto when he makes mistakes. On fight now it can go either way
but I think Cotto is going to beat down Pac.

I've been saying it all along. Roach and Arum have put Pacquiao during his last three fights with fighters that made him look like a million bucks. I think Cotto would beat David Diaz, Hatton and Delahoya all together in one fight. So I don't buy into all that hype... Hatton fought like an amateur idiot, Who the ****kkk is David Diaz ????? And Delahoya was 35 years old trying to make weight at 147 when he had already fought at 160.... PLEASE !!!!!

It's weird to me that Roach always lays out his game plan to everyone. He's training camp is like an open book. Cotto's camp on the other hand are very secretive. They don't never mention the names of their sparring partners, strategy or anything. They are just focused on the fight and thats it.

I thinks Cotto will beat Pacquiao. Pacquiao is not invinsible or is he super human. He will be defeated comes November 14th and it would be alot easier for Arum to make a fight with cotto and Mayweather rather than Pac and Mayweather. Cotto would obviously take less of a cut in $$$$$ and we all would be guaranteed and exciting fight.

Cotto a better fight

Cotto comes to fight so roach is kind of right. He'll make a better fight but will go down similar to Hatton. I had picked Hatton to win but Pac made me a believer that night. Cotto should fall in nine. Mayflower will run all night and he's good at it. Pac will have a hard time finding him. I expect Pac to win that fight in a close decision. Pac will be the only one willing to fight. I'm not looking forward to that slap fight. On the other hand Cotto and Pac should entertain all. I just believe Pac is too fast, too accurate and hits too hard. Cotto will get busted up. This time without hands wrapped in plaster.

Roach has lost his mind!!! Mayweather is the complete package so you can't say Cotto is more dangerous. he might throw more punches but his defense is not very good at all, Roach wants Cotto to come foward and leave his self open like always. Roach just knows Cotto is the easier fight and everybody else does too.
