Comments Thread For: Michel Rivera Wants Liam Paro Next: "Subriel Matias Talked Too Much; Was Too Confident"

While most of the boxing world's eyes were fixated on the Gervonta Davis-Frank Martin showdown that took place on Saturday night on the Las Vegas Strip, there was also a super-lightweight title fight in Manati, Puerto Rico

People are going to look at Paro like a low hanging fruit but the guy can fight. He obviously has an excellent corner as well. Id favor Paro over Haney and Lopez. Cruz and Catteralls style would be a good/exciting test for Paro. And at this point I think he stops Jose Ramirez and Prograis. Lastly, Puello is a puzzle for anyone so that's a toss up.

Why can't they get this guy a fight yet? He's been with his new promoter a few months now, and no fights lined up?

Wow, really? I saw a very average fighter who punchecs with zero intent to harm. Lopez, Haney and Puello beat this guy easily. He loses his next fight.

Good point. Why he is getting this much attention is beyond comprehension.
This Rivera guy and his team need to be poured buckets of cold water.
They know he's not getting these top names any time soon.
I'm sure fans won't mind them taking 3 bums every year, which is far better than doing nothing.

I think this is a great fight for Rivera to pursue and not a bad one for Paro either.

Gotten hand it to Rivera. He wants all the smoke. He has called for fights against Davis, Lopez, Stevenson, Loma, Prograis, Matias, Garcia, Cruz, Haney, Valdez, Martin, Zepeda, Kambosos and now Paro. No one can accuse him of ducking

Who is Rivera? What did he do to deserve regular articles here more than say Sandor Martin, or even Jack Catterall? Who is Rivera? Oh yeah, the guy who got schooled by Frank Martin. That one.
