Comments Thread For: Arnold Barboza responds to Eddie Hearn and Jack Catterall

Arnold Barboza (30-0, 11 KOs) couldn't help but chuckle when he saw on social media that Matchroom's Eddie Hearn revealed that he sent an offer to Golden Boy Promotions for him to fight Jack Catterall (29-1, 13 KOs).

LOL, was just about to post that. He should rematch McComb if it is possible.

That's a fact, and at 30-0, he better do it fast! He didn't look good in his last fight, as a matter of fact many saw him lose to McComb.
Catterall is the best name being offered to you as your next opponent, he literally has the same record as you at 29-1.
Take the fight dog, before someone else with a lesser name knock's you off, you're not a high priority, so stop acting like you have some leverage.
If you fight, and beat Catterall, you'll have more clout in order to negotiate for a title shot, but I think that Caterrall beat's you, and that's the bottom line.

There you have it, and he's still acting like he's got some kind of leverage. If he really think's that he's still undefeated he should fight McComb again.
I don't think that Barboza will rematch McComb, because he know's that he'll lose again, and probably not get the decision the second time around.

That's exactly the way I see it! Barboza wanted to put on a show his first fight under the Golden Boy Banner, and he was a bust.
The one who put on a show was McComb, to Barboza's surprise, and at his expense. Barboza's just not a top 10 fighter in the 140 pound weight division.

Barbosa could have had his Lopez shot already if he really wanted it. He's 32, did not look good in his last fight and doesn't seem to be in a particular hurry. Not good. At all.

Barbosa should fight Catterall or Hitchins. Winner gets Matias or Lopez.
