Most of the people commenting are dismissing Wilder completely due to his performance against Parker while ignoring that Zhang looked almost the same against Parker...didn't do anything after the early rounds and wouldn't pull the trigger.

Typical wilder... 'aggression', 'death'. Meanwhile... he was lazy and relied on his power only,
never took the time to learn how to box. He may possibly win this one, but IMO it's doubtful.
He even got to the point recently where he was using an alt and threated me and a few others
for expressing our opinion of his upcoming fights. He's one of those low IQ hardheads who bullied
others his whole life, and never had to pay for it. I'd hate to imagine being his family members
having to fear he'd go ballistic at the drop of a hat.

He might be good enough to beat Zhang. That's not a high bar.

Watching his behind the scenes camp video, it's noticeable that he's aged and seems very mellow. He's coming up on 39 now. He was never that much and he's going to be very little now.

But I kind of like the guy. I'd like him to get the win and try to get that Joshua fight in play. He's given us some fun years so I want to see him earn at much as possible.

Yes usual nonsense. One bad fight and everyone thinks a fighter is done. He was just trying to replicate what he did against Helenius in the Parker fight but couldn't land the shot and he has never failed to land before over 12 rounds so he just kept trying.

I got this fight as 55/45 in favour of Wilder. Zhang is obviously a good boxer and a very hard hitter but Wilder has huge power *and* speed *and* good stamina.

Wilder already got his huge Fury pay days and he was A side against Parker for some reason, when he lost every round.

I am tired of this guy and I have seen enough. I think Zhang finishes him in the middle rounds and that will be the end of Wilder as a boxer.

                .
Beating a huge powerfull southpaw, who is clearly top 10, is a pretty high bar.

I'm rooting for my fellow American. Go, Deontay, and knock your man out! But Zhang is tough, and he's got a mean streak a mile wide and twice as deep. It promises to be an interesting fight. Everybody will be surprised if it goes 12 rounds. Probably the biggest danger Deontay faces is that Zhang has a great, biggo head the size of a microwave oven and the density of a tombstone. If Deontay throws one of his famous right-handed bombs, and if Zhang ducks his head just enough so that Wilder to catches him across the top of the forehead, Deontay could break a lot of bones in his hand.

But if Zhang wins, well, he's almost like an American. Sorta-kinda. He lives in New Jersey. Seriously. I've been to China several times. I'd pick New Jersey over China.

High bar in the overall scheme of things.

But I don't think Wilder needs to hang around at 39 to try to prove he's a top 10 fighter.

You not got aggression. Only great for 2 seconds punch that gets you out of jail after being outboxed for 8 rounds.
