How good is Floyd Mayweather's resume as a ATG?

He has 26 consecutive wins in world title fights (10 by KO), over 21 champions. It's also not an easy thing to climb up 5 divisions and remain undefeated.

But is his career manufactured to a degree by great management? Obviously after he retired most new fans of the sport have a difficulty understanding what fighters he faced were at their best when he fought them, mostly reading/hearing he beat the likes of Pacquiao and Alvarez at the end of his career

I think Castillo and Corrales were pretty good wins, they don't have the best chins but offensive skill wise they were a menace. Castillo had beaten Joel Casamayor and Corrales in their rematch. Castillo was also one of the main sparring partners of Chavez Sr.

Corrales who had pulled a last minute upset against Castillo in their first bout, won the rematch against Casamayor, and beat up an undefeated Acelino Freitas.

Threads like these serve as a venting mechanism for the butthurt fans of the guys he beat.

Some will elevate guys Floyd didn’t fight way above their status. Others will pretend a guy was shot when Floyd beat him.

They were still at their physical prime and likely would had still won those fights however. Also yeah, after watching the first bout twice I don't understand how Castillo didn't win in the cards.

For Casamayor, yeah it's odd they never fought. Joel would had probably have presented a different set of problems considering it be difficult to outbox him with his smooth skills, having solid defensive skills coupled with a granite chin. Floyd would had gotten a rough day in the office.

He probably would had faired better than a counter puncher like Marquez fighting a out-boxer who rarely makes mistakes or a lesser skilled pressure fighter like let's say Corrales.

Great resume. Never beat a HOF level fighter in their prime. Lot of very good wins and in a very dominant fashion. Rematched the only 2 tough fights. Never got dominated and had one of the longest dominant careers along with Hopkins.

Coralles and Hatton are HOFers. They were prime, both undefeated, when Floyd beat them. He was in fact the underdog against Corralles.

Difficult to believe considering how dominating Floyd looked with Chico Corrales, "Pretty Boy" was a menace at 130-135. Considering his body frame, wonder how he competed at WW at all.
