I just hope PACquiao ain't swimming in one of those hotel-sized swimming pools. Does anyone know if he's swimming in a hotel-sized pool(lmao if he is), a 25 meter pool or an olympic sized pool(50m) ?
The article mentions that PAC is actually having to learn how to swim, this is actually good, because it is gonna challenge his muscles. Even though he's known for having one of the toughest, intense boxing workouts, it can get pretty monotonous. So, his muscles are definitely getting scrambled in a good way.
When I was in high school my mom made me join a swim club. I was already in good shape w/ my activities of running, weight-lifting, basketball, soccer and football. this was before I took up boxing. Fellas, I'm no world-class runner or swimmer, but the swimming workout made my running times alot faster, I literally obliterated whatever my personal bests were for my 3 mile runs once I started swimming.
I seriously did not expect my running times to be vastly improved. Prior to me taking up swimming as a regular workout, I didn't really believe the hype about swimming, but man, it is a stamina builder like no other!!
Swim clubs ain't cheap though, I only joined once for an entire school year. If you really wanna build serious stamina, swimming is it!!
but, I think you burn more calories with running, it's weird how that is. In theory you would think you'd burn more calories by swimming since more muscles are involved.

they have lean , strong muscles that don't add bulk and slow you down.
swimming is excellent cardio and less wear and tear on the joints.
