Bottom line - he could have taken a knee or not turned his back knowing the fight was almost over. Game over. He'll come back and Ford has looked solid in two fights now. Looking forward to the careers of both guys.

Why do people keep on repeating that he turned away? Go and watch it again. He didn't. He was actually hit with a jab when moving which spun him.

Then you have the ropes holding him up to which the ref should have given him a count for a KD and looked to see if he was able to continue or not. But hey, it's an American ref in the ring with an American fighter who is well behind. We know how that goes.

If it would have been Kholmatov hitting Ford, just the opposite, I am 100% sure the ref would have done the 8 count.

Yeah, because the corruption in the US isn't psychotic is it.

I'm also correct with the rest of the post but you seem to think he turned his back in there. No he didn't. Maybe watch the fight again and see what actually caused him to spin around like that. To claim he voluntary turned his back is an out and out lie. People's reputations get turned to mud when it's left to the likes of you to spin it the way i know you lot do. You're like the refs and the judges.... Absolutely corrupt. You couldn't follow reality if your life depended on it. That's disturbing.

So? Do you think because Kholmatov isn't that i'd be happy to see him f3cked over like you are? Sorry, but i'm not that way inclined.

Why are you always making odd accusations? Did I ever say Kholmatov should be screwed over because he's not American? The UK has the worst refs and corrupt scoring in the sport but all you do is piss and moan about Americans and Mexicans.

When he stumbled ( torn LCA and a bum knee to top it , wasn’t allowed to wear a brace which he usually does ) to the ropes , the ref should of given him a count as that is considered a knockdown. , being held up by the ropes
                    It is what it is

At the time, I thought the ropes held him up which could/should have warranted a count and ruling of KD. He appears to turn his back but it was likely the result of the punch, a wobbly knee and being buzzed and fatigued.

All of that being said, it was a ****/**** event and the Ref had a very dynamic situation to handle and make a call on. I don't really criticize the ref for the call he made even if I disagree.

I do wonder why the commission didn't allow Otabek to wear his brace.
