Ancajas has been an incredibly weak champion. His last realy quality win was in 2017 and he's had several gift decisions over the years. With all the incredible fighters in the lower weight classes in recent memory he chooses this bum to idolize?

Lost in translation. Inoue probably meant he has a high level of respect for Ancajas.

Another person who doesn't know how to use a thesaurus. Did not at all say he idolizes Ancajas.

Best I ever see him look as champion was when he battered Jamie conlan the brother of Micheal conlan but Jamie conlan was not a world level fighter. Was tough as hell and exciting to watch but was not on the same level of Ancajes who himself like you said is not the most elite out there

My favorite fight of his was against Israel Gonzalez. He's the only one who has stopped Israel so far, despite the latter having fought the likes of Yafai, Chocolatito, and Bam Rodriguez.

But Ancajas career has been quite underwhelming. About 10+ world title fights and only has fought one champion in McJoe Arroyo. He should've moved up after the Israel fight or at least change promoters. It was clear he was getting no fights at that weight class and no fights under Top Rank.

Israel was getting more fights than him lol

You realize this is not speaking about Naoya Inoue, right? Why should you care who Takuma Inoue idolizes, lmao.
