Comments Thread For: Team Beterbiev on Benavidez: I Don't See That as Hard Fight For Artur; Think He's Made For Artur

    Beterbiev beats Benavidez into submission.

Benavidez's entire game is just trading. he is stiff and high volume. stands square.

If Benavidez team ever thinks about this fight they should reconsider, Scully is right they're tailor made for Beterbiev to chew him up and spit him out.

I think it comes down to weather or not Benavidez js able to take Artur’s punches or not. If he is able to do so, he likely outworks Beterbiev for a decision win or possible late stoppage just from punch volume alone and also if Davids power carries up to 75 then the stoppage is highly likely… again, only if he is able to take Beterbievs power. Huge if

Alot of benavidez game is volume and pressure and so far he's fought alot of guys who are mainly just boxers who like to fight at there own pace like plant ,andrade etc so when there forced to work more because benavidez makes you work more they can't keep up with it. But betebievs fights in a very similar way but he's alot technically better than benavidez with it in terms of his footwork and controlling the range etc but benavidez has the quicker hands of the two and is younger and just as big as beterbiev if not bigger. But then again benavidez has never fought a puncher like beterbiev in terms of the thudding power and the constant attack with them kinda punches. Biggest puncher he's fought in his career is probably David lemuiex but he was very faded and alot smaller than benavidez and he was never an elite fighter just a guy who could hit very hard but very basic everywhere else.

nobody can take ARtur's punches at LHW. Joe Smith Jr, Gvozdyk, Yarde, Callum Smith are all durable guys

being able to take Artur's punch is simply not a survivable strategy.

Would rather see Benavidez vs Morrell & Bivol vs Beterbiev--same weight class.

                  Beterbiev would punish Benavidez.

Beterbiev is a powerful fighter and does have skills, he is just not a pressure fighter but he is susceptible to short inside punches and he has been hurt and down a few times. The issue is getting through his offense without getting so much damage.

Good fight if it happens if Benavides takes a 175 fighter before him.
