Comments Thread For: Dalakian: I'm Ready For This Latest Challenge, Going To Make Sure To Leave Japan With My Title

Artem Dalakian has arrived in Japan a week ahead of what he expects to be his latest successful title defense. The unbeaten, long-reigning WBA flyweight titlist and his team made sure to land in the country with plenty of time to acclimate ahead of a January 24 mandatory title defense versus Seigo Yuri Akui.

I'm rooting for Akui, but given the crazy situation Dalakian must've had to be going through with the Ukraine-Russia war there is a part of me that is somewhat wishing that Dalakian can go home happy as well...

Better then even is how i see it but that is not what is on my mind today Today i am thinking about Anaguchi who fought 12/23 last i heard he was in a medically induced coma .........
I want good fights and that was a good fight and maybe nothing could have been done to avoid the outcome but a streacher and a medical team brought in immeadiately could have helped a lot to see him shouldered from the ring was beyound sad it was sick to behave that way with a fighter. So yea i hope to have rounds beat downs and cuts and controversy for the entire fight card but man lets be respectful and medically responsible to the fighters all fighters. Any word on Anaguchi i got nothing on conditions at this time............?

As of January 18th, the Gym announced that he was in "stable" conditions but still hasn't regained consciousness yet from his medically induced coma. Unfortunately with 4 weeks having passed I guess the best we can all hope for is that he regains consciousness with only mild physical disabilities that can be tolerated.

thank you for the update i was affraid of something like that being the case --> any other sport there would be long talks about the mistakes made the condition of the athelet, discussion on improving conditions around the sport but not in Boxing Boxing only ansere's to boxing and that to only count the money as it comes in. Just a matter of respect for the person respect for the sport things of simple nature like that.

what a crazy fight first off a fight that was about as boring as you could get i kept thinking why not do Dak in with Sunnyboy and really have a miserable time......then the result of the fight i had left the room after three rounds caught it intrmittently it just go agitating no real skills being displayed just do a little dance move around the ring catch me if you can fight....then the result The two announcers were lost after the result as was Akui he looked as shocked as the rest of us. Main was great but wrong man got the nod on that one just not as out there as the Dak v Akui bout was........Now the Japanese bring in a streetcher into the ring a month late they did not have one for an unconscious man inside the ring but a twisted ankle ? Oh yea call medical staff at once What a wierd card.
