    It's a new world.

Low level influencers can make millions a year playing video games. Mr. Beast is worth a billion dollars.

Garcia has over 15 millions followers. That translates to big money. The kid is an anomaly in his generation. He actually puts in the work and the time to be a professional boxer. He is making enough, easily, to not box and be a millionaire a few times over.

It is something that most people don't get. NO other fighter has anywhere near that kind of following. Ryan has the ultimate say in who he makes money for in boxing.

Also, boxing is in a pretty pathetic state. Garcia is trying to make big fights and keep the sport alive.

It's like you have the equivalent of a bunch of old grandpa's yelling "get of my lawn." At the guy championing making big fights and putting in a load of work, when he doesn't have to whatsoever.

It ain't 1980. The money in boxing is dwindling and we need more guys who love the sport, smart enough to come in and build their own followings, to bring money and fans and build a new generation.

Or, we can have a bunch of guys terrified to lose their 0, boring as hell and terrible to watch. And when the sport is totally dead, we can all talk about the past.

I'm not sure what your point is.

Ryan obviously signed with GB for a reason. Because they could do something for him so it's a two way thing.

Everybody ultimately has the final say in whether they agree to the terms of a contract or not.

He used a lot of words across two posts to completely talk past our point.

I don't see the kid having "outbursts". He is being attacked by his own promoters in public. Because he fought Tank and agreed to the rehydration clause? What seems obvious now is that Oscar knew well that Garcia had been hurt in camp and that the sparring partner went and told Davis, or that he was being paid by Davis before he even went into the sparring camp. And Oscar knew that Garcia was going to struggle with the rehydration.

Garcia obviously told him, I can do it, and believed that he was just that much better than Davis. Kid was wrong. But why in F would Oscar come out questioning his own fighter, not showing up to the post fight stuff, and generally acting like a total ****? Garcia made the decision, they all made a bunch of money.

It sounds to me like Oscar and Bhop are acting like children. Back the guy who just made you both millions in public, build him up, don't act like mad little kids. Garcia has been responding to this silliness, not starting it.

Oscar, Bhop, Golden Boy, they are the ones gossiping in public like women about their biggest prospect. How anyone puts this unprofessional **** on Garcia, I will never know.
I haven't been following it that closely. Have they really been attacking Garcia? What have they said?

No, all I am saying is, Garcia is not another boxer who needs Oscar. From what I read Oscar basically begged him and offered him the moon. Which is fine, but it shows, Garcia wasn't just a prospect who signed with a promoter to build his career.

He doesn't "need" Golden Boy. He obviously believed that Oscar saw the value he brings and so he signed a contract with them. When Oscar didn't show up to the post fight stuff like a ****, and when Oscar questioned Garcia publically, Garcia sued to get out of his contract. Which should have.

Garcia is not in the same position as other boxers. He was saavy enough to use social media to build a career for himself and he could sell literally a lot of PPV's with any promoter who has a brain. He thought Oscar was a good partner, and Oscar has proved to be a whiny backstabbing douche.

What I am saying is that you all aren't seeing the difference in Garcia and other fighters. The promoter working with him is reaping huge benefits.

So in reality, you are missing the point.

What's your rationale for this claim?

Garcia lost to Davis and no one from Golden Boy showed up at his post fight presser. Oscar gave interviews saying Ryan should have listened to him and demeaning him in public, should have been handled in private. But we all know Oscar is more of a diva than anyone.

Than Bhop is saying that he chooses when a fighter fights again or not. LOL.

IMO be better for both parties to agree to dissolve the contract. Oscar looks like a whiny unprofessional **** and Garcia obviously wishes he had never signed with a promoter who would bad mouth him publically.

So Canelo, Oscar, Bhop, and Shane Mosley are all wrong in their criticisms of Ryan Garcia, and Ryan is the only one who is right?

Over 15 million social media followers. Alot of them boxing fans because they have followed Garcia for years watching him build his career. You think some of them just might buy his fights on PPV? He was the draw against Tank. How many did Tank sell in his previous fights? 200, 000.

How many with Garcia? 1.2 million. How many more is that than Davis sold before Garcia? Yep. A million.

All this constant noise with Ryan Garcia and DLH and Hopkins appears to me to be nothing more than publicity, following the adage of "all publicity is good publicity."
