Canelo does not owe anybody anything at this stage of his career but the timing for a Benavidez fight is perfect. There are really no excuses why a Canelo/Benavidez fight does not happen in May. If Canelo takes a soft touch, he is helping his wallet but hurting the sport!

I hate that ****** b.s. if you are a professional prize fighter, you owe it to the public, the fights we want to see. if not then retire. you guys act like once someone gets a big win or two then they've done enough lol. silly. and why boxing is and has been going to apps that nobody wants or knows about.

I don't think so and seems to me you didn't follow him, or watch most of his fights. Watch his fight against paul williams and perro. Like I said, when pressed the pitbull in him always shows up. If the dancing partner was not good enough to cut the ring off, or press him like Williams, perro, hurd, castaño etc, he was content in going the full fight without getting hit.

The answer to his question is no. He has never faced a puncher and has been able to recklessly walk in and walk down his opponent without fear. Canelo can make him check himself because he does have that equalizer.

Canelo only has the eq when he is full of PEDS. When he is not, he is not such a great puncher. Go watch all of his fights (when in even terms) and you will see it is only a construction team canelo and the media have created.

Three or four years ago he wasn't fighting elite boxers in their prime, they were either past their prime like ggg, and he definitely lost the first fight, or going through the UK tour. This benavidez kid is a different type of animal, prime for prime he would have giving anyone including canelo some trouble.

Oh I agree. But I’m saying Canelo is clearly past it now but 3 or 4 yrs ago, he was still better than he is now.

You do realize what Clen is no? I personally do and I’m telling you, NO ONE is taking Clen for strength. It’s laughable that those claiming “PEDS” don’t have the faintest clue what PED he had taken and why. I don’t see how Canelo can whip Benividas. Maybe if it was 4 years ago. One thing I would like to see, cause NO ONE has done it, is someone who can hurt Benividas. I’d like to see how he takes it. I did see Benividas sort of mildly panic when Andrade threw a 4 punch combo to his face. He look shocked and backed up. Don’t mean nothing though. Just wonder how he will take a REAL POWER PUNCHER.
