Does the personalities of Eubank and Benn negatively impact your interest?

It's already a novelty fight and I dislike both of them.

Eubank Jr is a guy who failed private school and went into boxing literally using his father's name. To hear him interviewed you'd think he was a serious, self-made man who is well respected in his profession rather than a glorified domestic level fighter who's lost his biggest fights and ducked GGG. He thinks wearing garish designer gear is a personality.

Conor Benn's IQ probably barely touches three figures and yet he's tried to insult our collective intelligence. Another domestic fighter who's yet to be tested. Thinks covering himself in generic tattoos is a personality.

Along with Fury, these are another two guys boxing could do without hogging so much attention.

Prefer Eubank Jr these days. After the PED fail, Conor's gone down in my estimations. But really I don't mind either of them much. Their personalities remind of me of their fathers so it's quite nostalgic listening. I agree they don't have the same background as their dads and had a somewhat easy entry into boxing. About the big fights.. Eubank arguably beat Saunders and got robbed. Split decision so with a different set of judges the decision could easily go his way. Judge who gave it to Eubank had 116-113.

He lost to Groves clearly but more so because of size disadvantage and Groves clinching excessively. Groves was messed up afterwards though to the point he required surgery which ultimately led to the end of his career after a final fight with Smith. Probably did duck prime GGG, but then Eubank Sr ducked James Toney so there's some kind of strange mirroring of their careers there. Anyway, I think they're ok. Boxing benefits from braggadocios personalities I think and they both kind of fit into that slot.

eubank can be a bit amusing with his arrogance & attitude and i did like the way he took the loss to that smith bro, he took it very well & came back and put the result right, so cant fault him for that in this world of 1 million excuses for an L, benn on the other hand has no redeeming qualities whatsoever as far as i can see, total A hole & am gutted hes getting a payday after his shenanigans with his illegals & that total twat hearn leading him around the world by the hand trying to pimp him out to anyone with cash, disgraceful stuff

Definitely. As does their lack of ability and accomplishments- especially in Benn’s case.

You’ve essentially got a fringe world level Middleweight, who’s fell short a couple of times against a completely unproven Welterweight who could be called maybe domestic level maybe based on who he’s beat.

If they were called Chris Jones and Conor Smith nobody would give a f*** about either of them really. It’s essentially just two privileged kids getting some more daddy money.

Eubank doesn't bother me too much. At least he has a bit of humour in his ways, I think a lot of it is just for persona. He's also a decent fighter, fell short at a good level but no shame in that. Behind the persona, he's probably alright.

Benn is just a prick and drug cheat and his team have purposely kept him away from anyone with power since he got a gift over that journeyman. They know he is getting sparked out as soon as he gets in with a good level fighter that can punch. And I can't wait to see it. There's nothing at all charming about his personality, just seems like a complete knob of a guy.

Eubank Jr. is misunderstood, a man with morals in a world of pantomime. His dad was misunderstood too, only became popular after retirement, and was disliked by many in his prime. Senior a much more gifted pugilist though.

Conor Benn displayed common signs of roid rage for 18 months, then pissed dirty. Blamed it on eggs, wrote a 400-page essay about it. Got the WBC to turn a blind eye and took out a license in a foreign country. But seems he can't escape justice so easily. Also wildly overhyped by Eddie Hearn, which is very irritating, and makes you wonder when the "I told you so" moment is gonna happen.
