Do you think Zack Parker would have been willing to fly to Quebec to fight on an undercard for 10 grand or whatever they are paying his opponent for this?
This guy is still a relatively unknown prospect, no leverage whatsoever. His only chance to get a title shot is to force a mandatory.

I'd say Mbilli is a contender now, not a prospect. He's top 10 on my list of SMWs and he beat another top 10 at the time in Congora. Correct - Parker won't go to Canada for $10k but maybe if they paid a whole lot more it could have been a co-feature - my main point anyway is to express frustration at how slowly contenders like Mbilli are moved forward and that is what happens when there is a undisputed champion. The pro for fans of undisputed is we get clarity - but imo its outweighed by the subsequent log-jam that normally occurs afterwards.

Yeah, he’s a contender. Still no leverage. He needs that mandatory spot. At least he’s keeping busy and getting to perform on another ESPN card.
Boxing can definitely be frustrating but people on here complain too much at the drop of the hat. These fighters are all in it for the money, and who can blame them. It’s a dangerous sport and the window of opportunity is relatively small.

I’m not going to complain getting to see a contender like Mbilli fight on the undercard of a fight I’m already looking forward to. I love that the guy is staying active.

Mbilli is a beast. Hopefully it won't be long before he gets some big fights against quality opposition. I wouldn't mind seeing him in there with Morrell.

I would like to see that fight but Mbilli leaning forward like he does with a guy with Morrell's power…seems like a an easy prediction but you never know.
