That bad decision is something that has helped up prevent a Mosley-Floyd fight since Arum won't put Cotto in with Floyd to save his life. Why do you think he is only talking about a Pac-Mayweather fight? This is a new interview too as far as my knowledge goes. It's in the aftermath of Floyd's win over JMM.

Arum's going with where the public is going and that's with a fight with Pac and Mayweather. If Cotto wins and being he's Cotto's promoter and has been a promoter in the sport longer than you've been alive, why in the hell would he not put Cotto in a big fight with Mayweather because he's afraid Cotto will lose? It's not as if Arum won't make money if Cotto loses.

Disappointing but we all know what happened, Miguel Cotto completely dominated the first part of the fight and the second part of the fight was very close. You could arguably say Cotto won the first 5 rounds. Cotto won 116-112, Shane's father would have scored it 115-113 for Cotto.
Clottey could have the right to protest coz it was a razor thin decision. I even scored it 115-113 for Cotto.

given what we know about Mayweather and his love of green backs he would have gladly taken his close decision over JLC and went after a big name.

But JLC was the Champ and you have to give the Champ a back fade...if he lost a close decision....but that was NOT the case in the Shane vs Cotto fight.

Cotto was the Champ and Cotto won a unanimous decision...Some people want to bytch about the venue...but if Shane Mosley didn't think he could get a fair fight in MSG he's an idiot for signing the fight...(which is all bull**** BTW)....furthermore if MSG is the home cooking capitol of the boxing world why the *** does anybody fight there.

1) cotto's status of "champ" is dubious because he won a vacated title
2) therefore cotto shouldn't be given the right of a true champion
3) also, it was a close fight
4) and, there were fights that were less competitive that got a rematch done
5) therefore mosley deserves the rematch
6) I agree, mosley was ****** for fighting in cotto's backyard (MSG), but that doesn't make it fair for mosley to get robbed.

Mosley said after the fight he lost. He lost the fight in Las Vegas or Los Angeles. Cotto beat him. He needs to get over it. It was almost two years ago.
