LOL it's one thing being hater of a fighter, but going the lengths of a saying a promoter wont put one of his top fighters (or after Nov 14th his top fighter) in the ring with Boxing's best because he fears he'll lose is completely idiotic.

I guess he looked at the tape and thought he wonOriginally posted by savorduhflavor View Post
Oscar says he talked to Mosley and Mosley knew he lost. It's the first thing on the video.
In other news(this is the first time I've seen this), Cotto says something about Paul Williams in spanish. Didn't know Cotto knew Williams existed haha.

Disappointing but we all know what happened, Miguel Cotto completely dominated the first part of the fight and the second part of the fight was very close. You could arguably say Cotto won the first 5 rounds. Cotto won 116-112, Shane's father would have scored it 115-113 for Cotto.
Clottey could have the right to protest coz it was a razor thin decision. I even scored it 115-113 for Cotto.

Originally posted by oc9979 View PostLol cotto had the edge and that guy saying that mosley didn't say he lost. Ifmosley thought he won why would he say a draw or cotto had the edge. If I thought I won I would say I won not a draw
Originally posted by BOOMbip View PostJLC got that rematch because he was the champion and it was probably in the contract.
given what we know about Mayweather and his love of green backs he would have gladly taken his close decision over JLC and went after a big name.
But JLC was the Champ and you have to give the Champ a back fade...if he lost a close decision....but that was NOT the case in the Shane vs Cotto fight.
Cotto was the Champ and Cotto won a unanimous decision...Some people want to bytch about the venue...but if Shane Mosley didn't think he could get a fair fight in MSG he's an idiot for signing the fight...(which is all bull**** BTW)....furthermore if MSG is the home cooking capitol of the boxing world why the *** does anybody fight there.
anyway thats how i feel about it...if you don't like it...email me at PRsecretboxingSociety@msg.com
2) therefore cotto shouldn't be given the right of a true champion
3) also, it was a close fight
4) and, there were fights that were less competitive that got a rematch done
5) therefore mosley deserves the rematch
6) I agree, mosley was ****** for fighting in cotto's backyard (MSG), but that doesn't make it fair for mosley to get robbed.
Originally posted by El Angel View PostMosley said after the fight he lost. He lost the fight in Las Vegas or Los Angeles. Cotto beat him. He needs to get over it. It was almost two years ago.
link please.
Originally posted by BOOMbip View PostShane is just upset that Cotto got his meal ticket...Mosley will beg Cotto to fight him if Cotto beats Pac...but before Cotto was signed to fight Pac...Shane thought of a fight with Cotto as pointless and a step backwards.
That right there shows you why Shane is fighting...He needs money.
Watch i will bet anything that if Cotto beats Pac....Shane will all of a sudden forget about Cotto being a step backwards or a pointless fight.
and i'll wonder why that is.
Originally posted by El Angel View PostShane's normally a cool guy outside the ring, but lately it's like WTF? Begging for a fight with Manny, saying he was robbed against Cotto, saying Mayweather is scared of him. He's becoming whiny just because he wants a pay day. He should have stayed busy instead of sitting on the shelf. It could come back to haunt him.
2) cotto got a decision in MSG (his backyard)
3) floyd IS shook

Hence no rematch.
The millions of PR's screaming like pop fans may have also helped.
Almost got into a fight with some loser behind be who kept on chanting " Fried chicken Mosely"
Me and another guy kept wondering how these guys got a seat there
Originally posted by BOOMbip View PostIt was a close fight but a clear victor was established and it was the defending champion.
How could you possibly interpret what is going on inside the mind of a man that was just in a 12 round championship fight? Was it his facial expression or do you just feel like you know Shane really really well and maybe if he would answer your letters...just maybe you guys could rent an apartment together...then take your shirts off and hang out like bros
Champion none the less....unless you want to go back in history and discredit every champion who has ever won a vacated belt in boxing.
Wait cause only Miguel Cotto fights for vacant titles...i remember now.
You besmirch my reputation as a man of integrity and fair dealings...you should remember yourself Sir.
Mosley has been quoted and been filmed stating that a fight with Miguel Cotto at this point in his career would be a step backward for him...
I hope I am vindicated in the eyes of my fellow amatuer boxing scribes.
