Comments Thread For: Overtime Boxing (OTX) Launches On DAZN; Targets Generation Z Fans With Fights, Storytelling

By Keith Idec - Brandon Rhodes realized his company could help fill what he determined was a void in the boxing business when Rhodes read one of Shakur Stevenson's Tweets in May 2022. Stevenson, a two-weight world champion who has emerged as one of the best boxers in sport, wrote, "I wish the world knew my whole story."

Q and A..... why did boxingscence report this ? Your guess is as good as mine but i know i will not be watching n if anyone zero's in on it good for them but i see Damzone as a place that places money before anything then way down the line comes boxing or something similar but really it......

No one gives two phuks about “storytelling.” WTF is this? Kindergarten!? We already loathe Mark (IDKSAB) “90’s drama voice pause for effect” Kriegel when he bloviates endlessly. What makes DAZN think we want to hear a phuking story?

DAZN is basically a boxing app over here so they need this kind of thing . People complain about bad decisions so when new rules like this are put in place to make them less likely of course posters are going to cry about it along with incentives to not let the fight go the distance but only on this forum no where else which consists mostly of cry babies when more boxing content is readily available that grows the sport .

The more events and options the more you’ll see certain amounts on here wanting to talk about money and what promoters are better that’s what this forum is known for more then actual boxing , they know more about DAZN budget because that’s more important to them . Beta male era we live in . Lol

Doesn’t sound too interesting but I suppose dazn has to try something, it’s been a dismal failure

Sounds like folks missed the important part. Shame on you, I'm way older than those guys and I took the time to read.

From a competition standpoint, OTX will experiment with an “Overtime Round.” If any of the four-round, six-round or eight-round bouts on OTX’s cards result in a draw, an additional round will be quickly added to that bout to decide the winner.

OTX also will use an 18-foot-by-18-foot ring for its fights, smaller than the industry standard, which Rhodes expects to lead to more action.

Fighters also can increase their purses with knockout bonuses. Any boxer who wins by knockout or technical knockout will earn a bonus, but additional bonuses will be awarded if a fighter scores a knockout in the first or last round of his or her bout.
These are intriguing gimmicks especially for the younger fighters.

                Another belt! bore off.
That's the last thing boxing needs.

watch (well actually please dont) but watch all talk will be from Eddie and if it is not Eddie's voice it will be a commercial for Eddie All commentary will be related to how much content is on Dumbzone coming up in the next few months. Transparent in the worst possible way. How much do they pay inter-writers to promote for them ?
