I didn't find the fight exciting, but I didn't think it was boring either. It wasn't bad... but not one i'd rush to re-watch. Hell of a performance though.

It wasn't anything like Calzaghe-Lacy. Calzaghe-Lacy was a one sided beatdown where the one guy was mixing up his arsenal throwing straight punches, uppercuts, hooks and movement but also pressing the fight and pushing forward against a guy who even if he landed had nothing to give against Calzaghe who was a whole different level of excellence.

Vitali-Arreola was an OK fight but not exciting and none of the casual boxing fans I know really wanted to watch it, it was jab, jab, move, jab, right hand, move/dodge. Rinse repeat.

I'm not knocking big Vit though, hell of a win + performance but it was not exciting.

You said "most people" found the fight exciting. Well, who are these "most people"?

I would like for you to explain what aspects of the fight would a causal fan who does not really appreciate the ART of boxing they found exciting in the Arreolla/Klitchko fight?

Mind you, people want to see heavyweights ****. Not BOX, but ****. That is what casual fans are used to and EXPECT when they watch a HW fight. So what part of THAT fight would have been entertaining for these "most people".

He took his beating like a man, just like Tony Thompson did, only he never gave up like Thompson did, he kept trying to win until it was over.

I think that deserves at least a little bit of respect.
