Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley on Teofimo Lopez: The Kid Wants Attention; Never Seen a Man Whine and Cry So Much

Timothy Bradley hasn't been too pleased by the recent conduct of Teofimo Lopez Jr. Bradley, a former two-division titlist, current ESPN commentator, and recent inductee into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, recently praised Lopez for his impressive win over Josh Taylor at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City to earn the WBO 140-pound title--an achievement that makes Lopez, 25, a champion in two divisions.

I know a lot of people are going to post without reading that he said, but check it out. Fair words from Tim.

“I’m not sure if it has anything to do with his father,” Bradley said. “You gotta understand this. The streets talk, man. Boxing is a small community, yes, but they talk. You gotta understand this kid has been holding down the fort, holding down his family, since he became a professional. He has the responsibility to take care of his entire household. Understand that, man.

“When you have that type of pressure—I’m a man, I have kids, and he has a kid as well—when you have that type of pressure on you, each time out you have to deliver, man, it gets straining. You get sick and tired of feeling that pressure. Feeling that heavyweight on you. I think that kid is at the point where he feels that pressure and he’s like I’m done with this, man.

"I think he said he made a million for this fight. Again, complaining once again. That’s something you need to talk to your manager about because to me, I don’t think your manager has done a good enough job if you’re only getting paid a million dollars in a fight of that magnitude, so something is wrong there.”

Man Timmy is a straight up hater. Let's not forget that Little Timmy boy also predicted that Teo would get smoked by Taylor. I guess he's just mad his analyzing skills are dog sh**...

Tim don't know what the hell he's talking about. What happened to his statement about Lopez being dog food for the guys at 140? He need to stay out of other people's business and stop speculating. Everybody's story is not like his.

That dog food comment for 140 hasn't aged well but there is time to find out so we 'll see. Other than that, I can't argue much about anything else he said but one thing that still is incomprehensible is how Tim Bradley is a HOF. I just don't get that part.

Gotta side with Lopez. Bradley should stop talking and just fight him then.

Didn't care for Bradley as a fighter and don't like him much as an announcer. That said, Lopez is obviously under a ton of pressure with his family and I think Tim is right.

Lopez needs to set his family up with a house and an allowance. Then go get his own place and be free.

Tim was very complimentary recently, and now he's dissing Teo a bit.

But anyway, I suppose they talk about something in between big fights, like some have a podcast.

Talksport, for example, have their regular show and sometimes talk rubbish, and other times good stuff.

As for Lopez with the win he just got against Taylor, he's right not to come back except for a big name and big money fight, or at least with a good multi fight contract.
