I’d like to see Munguia fight Morrell. I think the former gets absolutely clobbered by the latter, but would be a fun scrap.

What would a 30 year old Derevyachenko would have done to Munguia.

I liked Munguia before but he is a "mona". He doesn't have it.

According to Chris Mannix; Derevyanchenko couldn't have lost that fight because he had already given him a 7-4 lead on his unofficial scorecard heading into the final round. On the contrary, I had Munguia ahead 6-5 on my unofficial scorecard going into the final round.

I see people talking like Sergiy dominated the fight it was straight up back and forth the entire time and Munguia hurt him a lot of times as well but Sergiy was sharper in spots and landed a lot of clean shots. Sergiy was a bit dirty though he headbutt Munguia several times while jumping in head first and also used his forearms a lot. It is a fight that is definitely worthy of a rematch though and hopefully they make it happen.

Munguia has a chin but he gets too wild, if we would've relaxed a bit and just took a step back he could've had a lot more success. He has a good chin but he can't eat shots like that from Benavidez, Canelo and Morrell. Him vs Berlanga would be a fire fight, I still favor Munguia because Edgar is more chinny but if Berlanga lands clean I'm sure he can stun him too.

In the the end I still think he needs to go back down to 160 he looked gassed and out of shape, but even then he still kept a high work rate and never backed down. People are going to hate on him because he is a limited fighter but at least he comes to fight, he's still young he can improve but if he doesn't he will get knocked out eventually.
No! If you scored it 7-5 for Sergiy; Then Sergiy should have won the fight on your scorecard 114-113. It's because you would've had to deduct an extra point from him due to his being knocked down. Which means you scored the fight identical to Chris Mannix.

Who also had it 114-113 for Dervy. According to your scorecard, two knockdowns or a 10-7 round by Munguia; Would have made the fight a Draw. Since you had him trailing Sergiy by 3 points or 7-4 heading into the final round.

Give it up man. If Canelo was still with Golden Boy you'd be singing his praises on a regular basis. Why are you such a bias Golden Boy obsessive? Do you get money from always siding with the De La Hoya fighter? It's beyond me why someone would be a fan of a promotional entity as opposed to just the fighters themselves.

According to Chris Mannix....who cares what Mannix has to say? He's a pencil pushing office temp type. He knows very little about the sport. Just because you can memorize a few stats doesn't mean you have any real knowledge about boxing. He rarely makes insightful comments in real time. Why do you think Mora is constantly correcting him? It's because he has no instinctual knowledge of boxing or any real experience directly involved in the sport. He may be book learned but he rarely predicts what will happen later in a fight based on the first few rounds which is something Foreman, Jones and Emmanuel Steward did on a regular basis with HBO because they know what they're watching.

I hear what you're saying with Charlo if he deals with his personal problems but Andrade? I don't see that being a fun fight at all. Munguia would be hitting air all night and would most likely lose a decision in a shut down fight since that's Andrade's style.

I had this fight 6 rounds each with the kd giving Munguia the win by a point. I had 3 toss up rounds I gave 2 to Derevyenchenko and 1 to Munguia. Also I think that when Derevyenchenko tackled Munguia he was on his way down and some refs would have counted that as a 2nd kd. Either way the scores and decision were fair. Great fight!
