Vasiliy Lomachenko and his team have angled to remain in place for another crack at the lightweight crown. Egis Klimas, Lomachenko's longtime manager, has contacted the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO with the expressed request to have the former three-division titlist ranked number-one across the board in the lightweight division. The appeal comes in the wake of the Ukrainian southpaw's twelve-round, unanimous decision defeat to undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney atop a May 20 ESPN Pay-Per-View from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
