he looks like mosley.. but im sure he can emulate cotto without any problems. this guy can probably beat cotto AND pacquiao lol. great fighter, i could see him in top 3 p4p one day. if pacquiao can fight this guy in sparring and be evenly matched, cotto isnt gonna win easily like i thought he would. i predict cotto to win 70-30 but if manny handles porter i give manny 40% chance...

Since I heard Porter was going to be a sparring partner, I've been intrigued. I've seen Porter before many times, and know of his great amatuer background. This is a guy who has fought at Super Middleweight before. If Pac knocks this guy out in sparring, I can't say anything negative about him. In reality, I think Manny better keep those damn hands up.

This guys seems to have better defense and head movement. His hand speed seems to be a little better. I dont know about his heart and willingness to fight under adversity.

Looks like he's quicker and faster than Cotto, i'm not saying he's better though. Either way, he's a good sparring partner for Manny to get used to a bigger and stronger fighter with speed.

Like everybody has been saying he fight more like Mosley to me than Cotto, Am guessing the would still use porter because he looks big like cotto but he doesnt fight anything like Cotto to me, He might be able to mimick Cotto's fighting style because he would be sparring and not fighting but he fights nothing like cotto to my viewing eyes.

look at how porter digs to the body. tell me that isn't from the cotto handbook? he also crouches forward like cotto. mosley fights taller.

Mate, He fights more like Mosley...Most people have notice it apart from you, Without even reading the comments i thought he fights more like Mosley than cotto, He looks quicker than Cotto who IMHO can look plodding when coming forward sometimes, He throws the left hook just like Mosley likes to throw it...so for me he does look to fight more like Mosley....Just my two pences..

He does fight more like a Mosley. You can see it mostly in how he throws his left hook and how he throws his jabs. Most of his jabs are flicking range finder jabs like Mosley.

Cotto's jabs are power jabs which he steps into. But I'm sure the kid can be made to purposely mimic Cotto's style more for sparring purposes.
