I remember over 40 years back when Leonard and Hearns got together and made a big superfight. Thereafter they invited the sanctioing bodies to take part, unconcerned re what made the matchup legit; knowing they were the commodity. I believe there's a lesson there.
The lesson is fight top contenders. Crawford has done that once in his WW campaign.

      Spence TKO's Bud
      Boots Ko's Bud
You're correct, Errol refused to fight Boots but Errol has a long history of avoidance. As for Crawford, you either never watched the interview or you just don't care because it doesn't support your narrative. Ward implied that Bud was tired of chasing Spence, and doesn't care if it ever happens or not. Try actually watching the interview and come back and fix this hateful nonsense.

Bud agreed to take short with no guarantee (something neither Spence or Thurman will do, too risky).

Crawford is not the guy that demanded 20 million only to fight for peanuts in his next fight, or the guy that said when he gets a belt and when he got the belt said he can't fight him because he's promoted by Arum or when cornered on camera told Crawford to his face that Al Hayman has easier fights...again, on youtube, or turned down 50 million to escape to 154 (just as I predicted he would two years ago) and fight no chance Thurman for less.

I can go on because the excuses from the other side are endless....but sure it's Crawford's fault.....gotcha.

I really hope the winning bid on this crawford fight is $200k. Crawford doesn't have a promoter so he will have to take whatever he can get from the purse bid or vacate his belt. Maybe now he will see what his value really is. I don't know why oscar is negotiating with him. He can win the bid and crawford will have to take whatever it is or his fighter will fight someone else for the vacant belt. I don't see any benefit to Golden Boy by not letting it go to purse bid.
Thats why Oscar is in business, and ur not!

Ok so explain what the financial upside is to signing crawford.

No, the lesson is that superfights need to be made regardless of belts, bull**** and suits. This ongoing narrative/vendetta against Crawford is perplexing given his championships pre-welterweight. No matter. Lets all just ignore him and listen to the crickets chirping emanating from Camp Spence. We can all take turns guessing when and what weight he'll drum up a semi-retired type for his tune-up, sometimg 4 or 5 months from now. Here's hoping that tune-up lasts 11 months after-the-fact, just as he embarks on Josh Taylor 2.0 and we watch all the belts come loose....and the juniors do all the actual fighting. Of course there's always the guy upstairs at 154. I understand his hiatus will be ending about December......

David Avanesyan was a top contender and #6 ranked in the WBO. Shawn Porter was #1 ranked and his mandatory. Egidijus Kavaliauskas was also ranked #1 and his mandatory. Alexis Rocha has now been elevated to #1 in the WBO and has become his mandatory. Now if you’re talking about fighters that have notable names like Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Ennis, both of them chose to go in another direction other than becoming mandatory challengers to Crawford’s belt. When you say that he has only faced one top contender in his reign as a welterweight champion you must be talking about popularity and not actual ranking. Because even his last opponent(that people complain about the most) was a top ten contender. So hate the game.

Repeating that word over and over again just becomes a desperate ploy for hoping that if you keep attempting to discredit his resume that he’ll stop being considered the best p4p fighter in the sport. And he couldn’t be that easy to discredit because y’all have been trying really hard for a long time now and it obviously hasn’t worked because he is still widely considered to be the best.

What you refuse to realize is Crawford is pushing 40 years old and his best win is shawn porter/yuriorkis gamboa. At some point you have to prove youre the P4P #1 and not just “pass the eye test” against lower level opposition especially in crawfords case considering hes in his mid 30’s. So either youre from nebraska or a huge crawford nuthugger. Enjoy the meaningless rocha fight lmao

No one is surprised by him fighting Rocha, its his entire career history. If Boots is high risk low reward, at 36, its about time Crawford finally takes at least one because he looks like a coward.
I think Crawford wants the so called number 1 welterweight witch some people say it’s Spence I don’t get why he maybe 2nd or 3rd best
Crawford isn’t the one that ran to 154 lol
                    spence fighting a washed up
welterweight in Thurman isn’t that great of a fight either
spence should vacate if he scared
