It would resemble the Ramirez fight. Maybe a draw for me.

Im going to go against most here. I see Teo winning. Why? Cause Taylor is OLD. Im NOT saying its an easy fight though. Taylor has skills. Just don't see him pulling the trigger as well as he use too.

I doubt it. I pick Josh.

Even if he does win, Regis probably will whoop him.

A few years ago I would have picked Taylor confidently.

However, in 2023, I just don’t believe Taylor can healthily make 140. Bob and TR are thinking the timing is right for Teofimo, they still have high hopes for him as a potential PPV star.

Btw man, do you run that Markyd123 channel? I knew that Hawk looked familiar, I watched the WWE/TNA Monday night war vid a few years back.

I dont see Taylor struggling much in this fight. He wins fairly easy.

But he beat Prograis, Ramirez, Postol, Vazquez, Baranchyk, and his then rival Davies, who he humiliated.

There’s more evidence that Taylor is a good fighter. All fighters have that one fight where they perform poorly vs a fighter they are favored against.

Lopez has now done that 3 times. Nakatani, Kambosos, and Martin.

Teo Lopez is going to have the Zab Judah effect on fans. He’s got good “stuff”, good power, good boxing skills…but he’s mentally fragile. A mental midget. He puts his emotions on display in the ring and interviews, then denies them. He also becomes visibly frustrated in fights. He threatened to be done with boxing after the Nakatani fight, questioned himself as a boxer on live tv after the Martin fight, and clearly has a problematic relationship with his pops.

But some fans will always just go back to his “stuff”, his potential, without realizing how important the mind is in boxing. And they will keep favoring him in big fights because of this or talk about his “puncher’s chance”. Like Zab Judah.

He’s just mentally not all there and I completely get it, 100%. We all have our problems, and it’s okay. But damn, it’s tough to deal with those issues and professionally box on the biggest stage for a living at the same time.

Agree with you here. This is a good match in the sense that Taylor is coming off a long layoff, he’s older, and seems like he has to boil down crazy to make 140. Teo is now in his third fight at 140…another chip in his shoulder, and still explosive.

Good measuring stick for both. I have no horse in the race. Don’t really like either of their public personas.

Yeah I genuinely don’t think he can make the weight healthily or at least without taking a lot out of himself. Teofimo’s stock has definitely plummeted since the Loma win but I just sense the timing is right for him here.

It shows you how quick boxing can change cause had they fought 18 months ago we’d be talking about two elite P4P guys at the peak of their powers, instead both now have a lot to prove. Interesting matchup for sure.

I used to be a huge Taylor fan, I’ve followed his career for like 15 years going back to when him and Jazza ****ens were tearing it up in the juniors. However, even I can’t defend his actions recently, the way he acted after getting a gift versus Catterall was embarrassing and then him swerving the rematch makes it even worse.
