Being truthful, outside of being one of my favorite fighters, what could Spence do, and what did Boots expect him to do? He was in negotiations for the undisputed fight with Crawford, Bud ducks out and fights Avanesyen, now he's being forced into the mandatory with Thurman or vacate. Why would he vacate the WBC to fight Boots, and not only give up his chance to still make the undisputed fight, but also make substantially less fighting Ennis over Keith?

He said before the Ugas fight that he only had 1 or 2 fights left at 147, and called out Bud for undisputed afterwards. He's been given permission by the sanctioning bodies to fulfill his mandatory against Thurman at 154 with no belts on the line, and 60 days after that to make the undisputed fight with Crawford, which obviously means he's being given the chance to still make the undisputed fight instead of the Thurman or Boots fight or after. There's only one fight at 147 worth making the weight anymore, and they have left the option there for it to still happen. Boots just doesn't bring anything worth him fighting at 147, no belts or money.

Mandatories are a dime a dozen in boxing. Didn't you hear what Scott Malik said about them?

Yep. This is exactly what will happen. Jermall will go to 168, jermell to 160 and Spence to 154. If boots has a brain he will go to 154 asap because he isn’t getting a fight with Spence, Crawford, or Ortiz at 147. He should have went the wbo route and became Crawfords mandatory.

Crawford and Boots are both available now, what's the problem, or is Spence the only champion that's supposed to fight real competition in the division? Bud doesn't have to wait to be mandated to fight, he wasn't mandated to fight Avanesyen. Why is he getting a pass?
