ggg should just retire. He is just holding his belts hostage. No desire to fight the other 2 champs and keeps ducking any threat not named canelo. Puss...

Sorry But Kovi WAS not a solid win ( go check my posts , the minute it was announced I was screaming that Canelo would knock him out by the 5th )
Kovi is done like burnt toast , that persona is finished done caput

GGG is a dummy , this coming from an ex fan who realized to fast that he was a fughin puppy chasing his master
Money money money is what he wanted and got But at what cost
I view him as a could of been , would of been and should of been
Perhaps this is what is fueling Nelo ?
He could think that Kov was not the real Kov when they fought.
Still, I'd give that Kov a really good chance of beating any other MW moving up

In the very rare occasion(s) GGG fought a legit opponent, he failed to dominate.
Him moving up would have ended his myth.

If he had it to do over again, I'm sure he'd become a pro sooner and keep his BS ''anyone'' promise.
Learn that he wasn't cut out for the bigger weights and resign himself to being the best bumbeater the MW div ever had.

As long as the fight is about as free as a fight can cost these days I would like to see it for a few reasons. Old v Young - Challenged - Never been in it before like this before Decade of time in between there ages Both trying to stay relevant in the fight game, both having a lot to lose, sure I know the fight is not signed they are just feeling it out right now but let them go at it. Just make sure there a a solid undercard.
        All true.

I am intrigued at the longetivity of fighters, and their physiques in 2023. Better nutrition and training methods, plus near non-existent activity seems to really bode well for guys who, by standards set pre-2000-ish, should have been "done" by about age 35-36. Instead, the one day weigh-in (which is about 36hrs) affords us middleweights who enter as cruiserweights and light heavyweights who push heavyweight boundaries. Golovkin is a terrific fighter for a geriatric. He was a great fighter just over a half decade ago when a few of the cracks began to appear. By the time he makes his way into the ring for his next appearance, he will be into his 42nd year. Stats, reasons, better this, superior that, Golovkin has been talented enough and stout enough to force Father Time onto the back-foot, thus far, despite the unmistakeable sound of the bell tolling in the distance. Enjoy Golovkin while you still can. "Overnight" can be a curious and difficult pill to swallow.

Hahaha, yeah but, at this stage. Golovkin might just take the money.

Yea I compare it to following a great blues artists thru time, as they get older there voice is not as strong maybe there stage presence is not a powerful but when they come to town you show up to listen and watch them do there thing. Same as fighters age, you see them show glimces of past behaviour in the ring, you notice the wear and tear on there bodies and psych as they step forward but it still at least reminds you of what they once were and still can be be if father time dont slam the door shut while they are in the ring ducking and firing back.

If he were the goods, he could have written his own checks well into retirement, instead of depending on Nelo.
Chances are he was never that good to maintain a career outside of MW.

If you followed the sport beyond the last year, you'd be aware of its history; who earns what. Golovkin earned his title shot well over a decade ago but he was avoided. When he finally won a major World title, he steamrolled those placed in the ring with him or found a way to get past them, over years. He earned his biggest paydays by the years of solid work; paying dues. And he brought out the best in Canelo.

Its understandable why many today are insecure. Being a fan isn't a sure-fire thing. Being a hapless beta is even worse. But you have to remember, to denigrate those who faced Saul, as if he were some sort of happy dust bestowling good fairy, is to denigrate Canelo, and that is no way to leave fruit at the feet of your idol. Great as Canelo is, its going to be a bumpy ride from here on out. And 42 is a long way off on a road with big bumps and potholes ahead.

Nothing special about GGG except the number of bums he fought throughout his career and the BS claims his GGGroupies make to justify it
