Bivol has stated that the light heavyweight undisputed championship fight is the most important fight for him. This is Hearn pushing for Buatsi, Smith, and the rest of his stable in order to establish leverage and money that will last in the division. He's hoping that in pushing these guys to the front instead of the Bivol-Beterbiev fight, he makes money, they gain top rankings and name value, maybe with luck, the other belts, and Beterbiev ages in the meantime.

Don’t know if it’s accurate but Bivol has said he’s more about legacy than money and obviously beating Beterbiev for undisputed at 175 is bigger for his legacy than dog walking Canelo for a 2nd time.
