Spence is a gym rat and has never missed weight in his whole career. He makes welterweight with no problems. So why would he hold all his titles hostage and go up to 154 to fight a very inactive Keith Thurman, when there are very strrong, willing, mandatory challengers at 147?
Oh I get it- Keith Thurman's name has the veneer of a former champ with only one loss, but underneath it all, is a former champ plagued by inactivity and injuries, with a smaller frame that'll be slower at 154, thereby stacking the deck and giving Errol the best chance to win once again. It also gives Thurman who's another PBC guy, and an old wounded lion, a good payday and a chance to ride off into the sunset. It's the Al Haymon plan

Im a Spence fan but that’s pure cap. Guy loves his food and drinks between fights and blows up. Even at the Frank Martin fight he looked a good 180-190.

Crawford had his chance to be a "Great" Welterweight, but he's blown a few opportunities. 1) No Pacquiao fight, 2) He signs an extension with Top Rank, when ALL the best fighters @ 147 are at PBC, and c) Now he needs "transparency," from Al Haymon! Take a hint Sherlock. Crawford is no longer interested in fighting Spence; Otherwise he would have never fought David Avaneysan.

I, like all boxing fans would love nothing more than to see that fight happen but Terence only wants to fight Spence on his own terms by pricing himself out.

If that’s Crawford’s bottom line then Errol is telling him in so many words and deeds that he can go and kick rocks with that one by jumping up a weight class.

He isn”t and nor should he put his career on hold for Bud.

You are an intelligent poster sir; Albeit a troll one. You can see the handwriting on the wall. You are not illiterate man. You can see the signs. With this move, Spence is signaling that he is making his pivot, transition, segue and foray into the 154 lbs weight division. So just be patient. He will be vacating all of the titles soon.

So why should anyone actually give a fuck whether or not Spence is fighting Thurman at 154 or 147? It doesn't matter because Crawford didn't want that smoke anyway. So get over it. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed. Crawford had his chance but he ran, hid and ducked for cover by pricing himself out.

In addition, Hell no he is not moving up because he can no longer make 147. The real reason he is moving up is because as I have stated earlier. For the exception of a Bud fight; He has achieved all of his goals and have nothing left to prove at welterweight. He owns all the belts. Besides, he was planning on vacating the 147 lbs weight division upon the completion of the Crawford fight anyhow.
