That is if Floyd mans up and fights Mosley which I think is asking a lot from Floyd "*****" Mayweather. Also, Roach is just the trainer not the manager, damn!
IF Cotto beats PAC, FMJ might want to whoop his ass first. FMJ vs JMM all over again.

Sorry, but it made me laugh that a Floyd fan would call anyone delusional.

Pacquiao has already lost, and they don't build his marketability on never tasting defeat, unlike some other fighters.

His marketability is built around his humble persona, and his fight style.

Floyd's marketability is based on his unblemished record, and his big mouth. When Floyd loses (if he ever does, considering he carefully picks his opponents to avoid this)...his whole mystique will be gone.

A great fighter indeed, but never dared to be great by taking the risks necessary.
But pac hasn't lost in a long time to most of the public. There are a few die hard JMM'ers that say he lost to JMM, but most people regard him as not having lost for a long time.

So, if he loses a highly, highly publicized fight against Mayweather, he would take a marketability hit. Except for the inevitable rematch, of course. In which case, he would take a purse split hit.. no?

I want to see both fights actually. I'm convinced he would make Shane look old, cuz Floyd is in the shape of his life right now, but I still want to see a matchup between them.

Most of the public knows about and saw his loss to Erik Morales...then saw how he came back and avenged the loss with two knockout victories.

His vulnerability is part of the reason why people love him so much. People can relate to vulnerability.

To answer your question...the fact that Manny would be moving up in weight to fight a bigger fighter, in a division in which physically he is outmatched, then he loses nothing, even in defeat.

That is one of the benefits of moving up in weight, and taking on bigger challenges.

The downside of fighting a guy coming up is obvious: You win, you just beat a smaller guy...you lose...you just lost to a smaller guy

floyd is the one that doesent need you, he can easily set up a big money fight with shane mosley.
but the problem is floyd wont fight mosley coz gayweather is scared to face mosley. pacquiao can fight anybody at 140 or even some fighters at WW, while gayweather is avoiding all the fighters at WW. after the cotto fight pacquiao will face mosley if pacquiao/gayweather wont happen and floyd " no money" gayweather will fight ivan calderon or ulysis solis

Please take down that WarMarquez. 12% landing percentage, reminds me of Custer's last stance. He got his ass handed to him. LMAO
