That's what caught my attention in this piece as well.Pretty odd mind set to have in any competitive sport or endeavor when the whole premise of sports/competition is to compete and prove yourself the best. I think the early financial success against sub par competition brought on a complacency he's finally pulling out of so good for him. I believe he's in for a rude awakening come April 15 but like the saying goes,better to have tried and failed than not have tried at all

he might fight lomachenko if he looks over the hill vs. haney. might be safe now. he's a short counter puncher. can he even get forward if haney boxes and uses his length? shakur fight would be beyond ugly. can he take 3 rounds off of shakur? ryan (this isn't possible b/c haymon probably wants his contract) or a faded loma because at PBC...

Why does Stevenson, or Haney have to be your third fight in 2023, you've already 27 fight's in your professional career.
Why not fight either one of them right after you fight Garcia, and that's dependent upon you beating Garcia first.
It's taken you way to long to make a blockbuster fight of this kind of magnitude, it appear's that Mayweather is no longer in the way.
Now is the time for you to show the whole boxing world that your one of the best pound for pound fighter's in the world.
