And in other news got some exciting **** going on. Signed up to a white collar boxing thingy to raise a few quid for local causes - 8 weeks training starting Monday - plus it looks like my Youth Club are gonna pay for me to do a training course, probably at the Hatton Gym, to get qualified to be a trainer / coach for the local kids. ****in chuffed to bits.. assuming it doesn't kill my old ass.

I been getting in touch with my various friends and contacts from the local martial arts clubs and so on to see if I can get them to come in a give the kids taster sessions and it just kinda grew from there, but daunting but looking forward to see how it plays out.

Self employed part time joinery, building work, odd jobbing, white goods and PC repairs - turn my hand to pretty much anything - but I got a supplemental benefit too - serious mental health issues from when I was younger, plus Ms Koba brings a little in from her crafts and wellbeing stuff. Seriously though financially I barely get by but I really ain't got expensive tastes and was brought up to make the best of what you got.. buy my clothes from the charity shops and food on the reduced aisle.

That said I'm as happy as anyone I know, got my community stuff going on, makes me feel useful, got my festival gigs and hippy dippy stuff in summer... pretty much living proof that you don't need much money to live a full life.

Looking at this boxing training thing as something that could grow and open a few doors though - lot of money being thrown at getting kids into sports right now, and the Youth Club has said if I get qualified they can start paying me for it, plus it's obviously a saleable skill that I can use elsewhere. Getting a bit old for laying garage and shed bases in the middle of winter anyway.

Ha... no I was into the dealing game as a younger man but that's all well in the past now. Went off the deep end with that shit. Simple life is all I want now. Stay pretty much on the straight and narrow bar the odd tickle of psychedelics very occasionally.

White goods in the UK generally means stuff like fridge freezers, and washing machines, electric cookers maybe... I do vacuum cleaners too, pretty much anything. Even as a kid I liked pulling stuff apart to see how it worked. Turns out if you pulled enough stuff apart you get a pretty good idea how to fix it too.
